Last weekend I was cruising around town and stopped at an indie store only to find one whole corner of the place dedicated to Fred & Friend products. It was heavenly. I stood there for probably more than a half hour laughing and checking out all their cool stuff. A lot of creativity goes into the making of these products, and I think part of that cleverness is shown in the name of the product and the slogan. Which one's your favorite? Baked Eggs in Bacon Baskets This is such a nice idea for breakfast/brunch for a crowd.It is so simple, makes 12 at a time and the baskets stays warm, unlike scrambled eggs which always seem to get cold when left on the plate. There are many variations of this recipe on the blogosphere. I've tried it 2 weekends in a row, and I find that this method worked best. I made them 2 ways, some scrambled with cheese, and others just baked with a soft center.We couldn't decide which way we liked them best. Spray a 12 cup muffin tin with PAM spray. Lightly cook 12 strips of bacon (or how ever many baskets you are making).Do NOT cook the bacon till crisp, but just enough to get rid of some of the grease. Coil your bacon slices around the wells of the muffin tin. Crack an egg and pour into the well.Sprinkle with salt and pepper. You can also whisk your eggs together and add some cheese, like a quiche, and pour this mixture into the bacon baskets. Use a spoon to remove the baskets and serve!

Guests have complained of visions and other kinds of ghostly disturbances-including getting dropped off at the 13th floor form the elevator despite the button not being pressed-since the building reopened as a hotel in the 1980s.The Bourbon Orleans Hotel in New Orleans once served as a ballroom and theater, but was then turned into a girls’ school, orphanage and medical ward. Rainbow Cake in a Jar I’ve always had a penchant for sunshine in a jar. Doesn’t the very phrase itself, “sunshine in a jar,” roll off your tongue and fill your mouth with magic? While I’ve never yet found myself a sunshine in a jar, I think we may have just concocted it in our kitchen tonight. In this simple recipe, a basic white cake is turned into a slew of bright colors, baked to perfection, then topped with a creamy white frosting. Cakes baked in jars can be topped with traditional metal canning lids and stored in the fridge for up to five days. Rainbow Cake in Jar 1 box white cake mix made according to package instructionsNeon food coloring in pink, yellow, green, turquoise, and purple3 one-pint canning jars1 can vanilla frostingRainbow sprinkles Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Scoop about 1/2 cups of cake batter into five small bowls. Spoon about 3 tablespoons of the purple batter into the bottom of each jar.
