Mystical, Magical & Magnificent Monasteries in Meteora (20 Pics) The caves in Meteora, Greece, had inhabitants for fifty millennia, but due to raids, “hermit monks” moved to the safety of sandstone rock pinnacles in the 9th century and began building monasteries. More monks and nuns came, building more monasteries perched high upon the cliffs. Sand Cat Kittens Start to Explore Earlier this month, Sweden’s Parken Zoo welcomed two new Sand Cat kittens. Small and stocky, the Sand Cat’s oversized ears help to dissipate heat and detect prey scurrying along the sand, much like the Fennec Fox. Watching the curious kittens exploring their enclosure can’t help but make you think of their domestic cousins. About the author banksy versus bristol museum, part 2 after mentioning the "bansky versus bristol museum" exhibition last month, i got a message from my darling friend, mr. matt, who happened to be whoranging over in england at the time. eager to see a little bansky in the flesh, he hopped on over to bristol, with camera phone in hand, and stood in the ginormous queue. luckily for us, mr. matt snapped a few fabulous shots exclusively for WHORANGE. he even captured the coveted "mouse with backpack" that i wanted to see so desperately. it's tucked away inside of the natural history exhibit... along the way, he spotted a bong in the china cabinet... the classics were up to business as usual... a gas masked ballerina danced amongst a jaunty bunch... bansky gave us a peek into his workspace... plus much, much more... the banksy exhibition goes on until august 31st, so hop on over if you can. thank you, mr. matt, for the lovely pictures. a tip of the tiara to you, darling!
