A Subtle Revelry

A Subtle Revelry
Easter is one of the holidays that has become a whole lot more fun with little kids in the picture. Eggs, bunnies, and their crazy joy over the simplest of things makes my heart burst this time of year. My girl and I spent an afternoon in the kitchen this weekend testing and creating a few fun recipes for Kraft that I am excited to share this week. This first rendition is our take on their classic angel flake coconut cake. Although, we followed the recipe to a T (and loved it!), there is nothing classic about the presentation of our cakes.

A l'ombre du marronnier I don't care for what Facebook does to my sanity, my time or my image. Before I dive into explaining all that, please don't take this personally if you're someone that enjoys Facebook. These are simply my ideas and experiences with the site. I don't aim to be a know it all on the subject. I simply am sharing my thoughts because I don't want those of you that have seen me pop in there to wonder what happened. Babyccino Kids Boutiques Apple Streusel Kuchen March 11, 2016 A lot of things surprised my parents when they first moved to Germany as a young couple (no music playing between 12-3pm everyday, no greeting random strangers on the streets), but there was one custom they adopted immediately: the Sunday afternoon cake. The Sunday afternoon cake was, and hopefully still is, one of the best ...

A Beautiful Mess I love using cloth napkins to dress up our dinner table, and through the years I've grown even more fond of their sustainability and cost effectiveness. Though, I'm not sure how cost effective it is if you keep buying more and more cloth napkins each year! This holiday season I thought it would be fun to look at how I could dress up the napkins I already own to give them an extra festive vibe.
