Fall colors are in full swing, the air turns cooler, and Halloween is just around the corner. The good news is that your students can still have fun this month because there are so many opportunities to engage students in October learning activities. To make it easy for you to find October Learning lessons, I've shared a favorite activity below and I've invited others to add to this collection by sharing their activities as well. Fire Safety Talk Show October is National Fire Prevention Month, and October 7 - 13 is National Fire Prevention Month. After students have learned basic fire safety guidelines, they need to discuss these ideas and consider what to do in different scenarios. Agence pour l’enseignement français à l’étranger Anglais - Langues vivantes Pour la rentrée 2017, et ce pour la deuxième année consécutive, l’Inspection pédagogique régionale d’anglais et les services de la DAAC, en partenariat avec l’association Strasbourg Write a Story va offrir aux élèves des collèges et des lycées participants, l’occasion de travailler sur un projet créatif dans le but d’écrire une nouvelle en anglais. Pendant l’année scolaire 2016-2017, les animateurs de Strasbourg Write a Story ont organisé des ateliers au collège de l’Esplanade et aux lycées Rudloff, Couffignal, Pasteur, Pontonniers, St Etienne, et Jean Sturm. Lors de ces ateliers créatifs, les animateurs encouragent les élèves à développer l’envie d’écrire, à puiser dans leur imagination, et à s’exprimer en anglais en s’appuyant sur des activités ludiques et des techniques de narration. Pour les élèves qui souhaitent mener plus loin leur projet d’écriture, Strasbourg Write a Story organise chaque année un concours de nouvelles.
