Kerry Washington, Kristen Stewart & Lady Gaga Are All Fans of This New—Affordable–Red Carpet Brand Maisie Wiliams (Arya Stark on Game of Thrones) was the first to wear Self-Portrait on a major red carpet. I noticed because she looked fresh, I'd never seen the dress before, and it took me longer than usual to track down the designer. That was in January, at the SAG Awards. Alexander Wang’s Next Balenciaga Collection Will Reportedly Be His Last The rumor mill continues to swirl about the fate of Alexander Wang at Balenciaga and today WWD is reporting that the end is nigh. The industry’s long-adored darling is supposedly winding down his three year tenure at the French fashion house, with the Spring 2016 collection reportedly to be his last. When Wang took over for Nicholas Ghesquière at Balenciaga in 2012, the fashion world was cautious at best. At that point, Wang’s eponymous line was associated with downtown kids and dance parties. Though their visions differed greatly, Wang’s effervescent nature brought a vitality to the house that was ultimately refreshing. Stitched Fashion Camp: Where Childhood Fashion Dreams Come True I was at a talk recently, organized by Vogue and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where Nicole Kidman was interviewed on the subject of fashion and film. The Oscar-winning actress mentioned that her parents banned her from playing with Barbie dolls as a child. When she (finally!)
Sasha Fierce! Sasha Pivovarova’s 23 Best Runway Moments (Versace Spring 2010, Photo: Maria Valentino) Sasha Pivovarova’s beauty is a given, but it’s her intensity on the runway that made her a star. Since debuting on Prada’s Fall catwalk back in 2005, Pivovarova has made a name for herself by playing up the spooky side of her alien looks and putting those wide eyes and sunken cheekbones to good use in theatrical shows for the biggest names in fashion. Though she’s malleable enough to take on any character a designer can dream up, Pivovarova is at her best when she’s playing peculiar for iconoclasts like John Galliano or Alexander McQueen.

How Gaining 15 Pounds Made Fighter Ronda Rousey Feel More Beautiful You've said that you want to show people the non-fighter side of you. What's that side like? I don't talk as much. I like to sit and listen to everything going on in the room, and I don't move off the couch. My life is so active, and I'm fighting the whole day that I don't have any aggressiveness or any energy outside of fighting. The 28 Stages of Wanting (Needing?) a Snack When it comes to hankerings, hunger, and hanger, the struggle is real—sometimes scary real. Dear Silicon Valley Fashion Week, Where’s the New? Why Women Shouldn't Use the Same Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Picture "Most guys don't think about what it's like to be sized up for sexual value as the first thing anyone sees about them, everywhere they go—anytime they go online, walk into a room, or try to join a conversation. Most men don't have to deal with being a target their whole lives the same way that women do," writes Violet Blue, an investigative reporter covering cybercrime and a former San Francisco Chronicle sex columnist. She's written an illuminating little handbook for women, The Smart Girl's Guide to Privacy (No Starch Press).
