Retour à un folk d’une pureté infinie, enregistré dans une totale sobriété (on entend, souvent, le bruit du climatiseur derrière le chant et la guitare fragiles de l’Américain), le nouvel album de Sufjan Stevens n’est pas qu’une collection de merveilles mélodiques, mélancoliques et bouleversantes. Grand disque intime, Carrie & Lowell est donc, c’est une habitude chez Stevens, un chef d’œuvre.
