Either works. If you can’t find either, then romaine works really nicely too. This is a filling and simple salad that is easy to present beautifully and can be made smaller if desired for a first course of a larger meal. Serves 2

They are pretty knowledgeable-so my job is easy:) I think it is fantastic that they want to learn how to cook at such a young age-they are in the 3rd and 4th grade. Since we don’t have any kiddos yet, I am glad I get to work with these kids. We have a great time in the kitchen.

Thin Seaweed Cracker I find this recipe much better than the conventional seaweed snacks that we see on the store shelf, it does not have any oil or salt included. The only ingredient are TOMATO, CUCUMBER and KELP FLAKES. It does not need salt as kelp itself is a bit salty. The tomato gives a Tangy taste. Foodie Friday - Mexican Food Fiesta - Raw Food Rehab Since Cinco De Mayo is today, I wanted to bump this Foodie Friday episode up from last year: Earlier this week many of us celebrated Cinco de Mayo which I just learned this week is actually the holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, NOT Mexico's Independence Day, as I had originally thought. While Cinco de Mayo sees limited significance and celebration nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed nationwide in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. For me and my family, it's another great opportunity celebrate by enjoying the brilliance of Mexican cuisine!

And I might have had the crazy idea to build my own entertainment center, coffee table, dining table, and bookshelf...all while still unpacking. Yep, I'm clearly clinically insane. That or a sadist.
