Raw Food Recipes Simply Stuffed Quick, batten down the hatches, the relatives are coming! Swarming in from all corners of the country, they’ll begin their descent any day now, preying upon well-meaning hosts and hostesses, depositing themselves on couches and easy chairs, leaving all manner of clothing and garbage strewn about; it may seem like a tornado hit the house, not just sweet auntie and uncle, plus their rambunctious kids of course. We don’t have much time to chat, because the attack could come at any time, so just lay low for as long as possible and follow my advice: Have food. Lots and lots of food. As long as you keep feeding them, they shouldn’t become too destructive or agitated, and they may even stay out of the kitchen long enough for you to prepare The Festive Meal. Although an unlikely choice, these simple veggie rounds are surprisingly satisfying, filled with a hearty mixture of nuts and beans, plus aromatic herbs and spices. Good luck, solider. A healthy recipe, seaweed crackers | Mastering-Health.com Something that I tried yesterday, and I think I will try much more combinations of this delicious replacement for potato chips . 1 x 4 inch strip dried kombu, kelp or wakame Water for soaking 1/2 cup flaxseeds (soaked overnight) 3/4 cup water 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion 1 cup raw sunflower seeds (soaked overnight) 1 garlic clove 2 Tbsp. tamari Cayenne pepper and Sea Salt to taste Soak the seaweed 5-10 minutes, or until softened. I read this on a health food yahoo group, and wanted to share this with everyone : later I will try it with mediterrenean herbs, with Thai herbs, even with some grated apple, or with sesame and I suppose we can replace the flaxseed by quinoa from time to time. This recipe is from the book: Seaweed: Nature's Secret to Balancing Your Metabolism, Fighting Disease and Revitalizing Body & Soul, by Valerie Genneri Cooksley, RN. Thanks to Leora to bring this to my attention.

Thin Seaweed Cracker I find this recipe much better than the conventional seaweed snacks that we see on the store shelf, it does not have any oil or salt included. The only ingredient are TOMATO, CUCUMBER and KELP FLAKES. It does not need salt as kelp itself is a bit salty. The tomato gives a Tangy taste. Kelp are full of mineral and tomato are best to eaten raw as it turns acidic after cooked. Home Page About - Nouveau Raw The process of creating raw, whole food recipes is as much about trust as technique. As a sculptor finds their creation in a block of marble, so too does a chef find their dish: by design, technically, but by instinct, always. Hello and welcome to Nouveau Raw (New Raw). I started my journey towards raw about eight years ago. I let go of my SAD (Standard American Diet) ways and started off by becoming a vegetarian. In the time since receiving my certification as a gourmet raw food and pastry chef, (through Living Light Culinary Art Institute) my passion has turned into a burning flame that never flickers or dims. My passion for raw foods has also given me the courage and confidence to teach classes as well. If you would like to contact me, please do through amiesue@nouveauraw.com.
