Sexy feminism? Feminism is about choice. Sometimes I think if I repeat that enough, people will get it. This time I'll let another blogger repeat it for me, since I think she's spot on: Cinderella Bridal Shoot & Love and Lavender We love today’s post so much, we literally could not wait to share it with you! The entire shoot was inspired by a vintage 1950′s wedding dress that one of the photographers, Jonda, found at a local bridal shop for a whopping $40!! With it’s layers of tulle and ruffles, it reminded her of a childhood fairy tale, so she started dreaming up a Cinderella-themed shoot. Her friend Emily Bartsch made the dream come to life with lots of sweet props that she hand-made, including coffee filter streamers, a drawerpull bouquet, and the cutest little felt mice! We are swooning over the result.
The Ballerina Project I’ve always had such a fascination with ballerinas. Maybe because I can’t even touch my toes, so the idea of dancing that gracefully and almost otherworldly is pure magic to me. The Ballerina Project – photos of ballerinas in very different spots around NYC – is so lovely. Sougwen Chung artworks & Design You Trust - Design and Beyond! Frat Email Explains Women Are "Targets," Not "Actual People" I'm sure that there are going to be a lot of people who respond to something like this with the attitude that's it's not really a big deal. I mean, yeah, it's pretty disgusting but like Free Speech and stuff and besides can't you take a joke, you humorless lesbian shitass? Here's the thing though. It's not enough to just tell me to just avoid people like this or to not bless them with access to my pie. Inspiration Friday: Alternative Table numbers I’m always on the look out for new ideas for you the Boho Reader as well as my Boho Brides, so when I was looking for table numbers for my of my brides a couple of weeks ago it made me think that I should really put a post together about it and put together some alternative table number ideas for you. So I’ve had a little route around the Internet and this is what I have come up with…just goes to show that a number suck in a silver holder really isn’t your only option! They were telling me that bride’s cousin owns this junkyard/old car shop since he’s an artist and uses scrap metal for sculptures but some of these vintage cars are just too sweet to be upcycled! The junkyard location has also been used for concerts before.
The dark celebration of Gehard Demetz You have stolen my silence, 2006, © Gehard Demetz wood, 167,5x55x38 cm Courtesy Galleria Rubin, Milano Photo by Egon Dejori Gehard Demetz is a mystery artist, the only thing that we know about him is that he was born in 1972, Italy, and that he currently lives in the mountains of Selva Gardena. Maybe this is the only thing that matters when you set an eye on his absolutely marvelous wooden sculptures, since you forget everything you may have in your mind. Why lie, this is not wood, this is the material of the dreams. And dreams are the perfect place for dark surrealism to rise.
