The Ten Best Horror Movies of 2008 | Film School Rejects - StumbleUpon Editor’s Note: As part of our Year in Review feature, we’ve tapped our resident horror expert Robert Fure for a list of the Ten Best Horror Movies of 2008. To read more of Robert’s horror reviews, check out The Coroner’s Report every Thursday. Being a horror fan is tough business and some years are worse than ever. 2008 saw its share of lame PG-13 movies (Prom Night) and an influx of crappy remade Japanese films (Shutter), in addition to having some of the more anticipated films (Trick ‘r Treat) delayed from wide release once again. That said, we worked long and hard to scrounge up 10 Horror films worthy of recognition in 2008 and believe me, it wasn’t easy. 10. Jack Brooks Monster Slayer The horror-comedy is quickly getting to be old-hat in most books, but Jack Brooks manages to kick some serious ass in the vein of Army of Darkness. 9. An imported feature that was made in 2007, but didn’t come to the States until 2008. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Read More: 2008 Year in Review

REAL LIFE HORROR - a list by Dr-Faustus Stunning Self-Portraits by a 17-Year-Old (18 photos) Like Valerie Chiang or Kalie Garrett, Alex Stoddard is one of those talented teenage photographers who knows how to express themselves. His self-portraits are all incredibly unique and after viewing them you're left wondering where he's going to take you next. What I enjoy most is that you can almost feel his passion come through. His commitment to not only executing on an idea but doing it well, is apparent to anyone who sees his photos. I got in touch with Alex to ask him a few questions, including how his style evolved while taking on the 365 project. What have you learned from your 365 project? Your photos are all beautifully artistic. I see that you're friends with Rosie Hardy. How has Flickr helped you develop your style? Are there any quotes you live by? Thanks for the interview, Alex. Check out more of Alex's incredible photos on his Flickr page.
