I do not have a baby on the way. Let's just make that VERY clear. I love my baby to pieces, but no more babies for Katie. I'm talking about my friend Rachel's new e-course "Baby on the Way". Before I dove in I was feeling a little intimidated by all of the sewing that I thought I would need to do, but the projects are ones that I feel I can tackle... which is saying a lot for me, because I am pretty good these days at the hand stitching, but I am no expert when it comes to the sewing machine. Anyway, I thought this course was so sweet that I wanted to share. I hope your weekend is just wonderful, friends! P.S. P.P.S.

Todo sobre el queso, por Fiona Beckett Her Library Adventures.. Watermark Tee by Sweet Verbana Hello U-Create readers! I am so excited to be guest posting here today. It just so happens to be my first guest post and I'm still a little shocked that it's here at Ucreate, one of my favorite blogs! A little bit about me.. I'm from a little town called Keller, Texas. I'm a junior at Texas A&M University (whoop!). I'm working on my education degree and expect to be an elementary school teacher in just two short years. When I'm not busy studying for classes, I love to sew. I just started blogging in May and have already met all kinds of wonderful women, I hope you'll stop by and say hi too! Watermark Tee Tutorial What I love about this project is that it's completely customizable. Materials: Elmer's Blue Gel Glue (it must be the blue gel, white won't work) Fabric Dye (RIT is my tried and true brand) A white cotton Tee, Tank, Dress etc. Tutorial: If you're unfamiliar with Batiking, it's a method of dyeing fabric in which you create a design with a dye- resist. Step 1: Prepare Step 2: Design

A Beautiful Mess I love using cloth napkins to dress up our dinner table, and through the years I've grown even more fond of their sustainability and cost effectiveness. Though, I'm not sure how cost effective it is if you keep buying more and more cloth napkins each year! This holiday season I thought it would be fun to look at how I could dress up the napkins I already own to give them an extra festive vibe. Check out three simple ways you can give new life to your table linens. And hey! Two of them are even no sew! Ribbon Trimmed Napkin This look is so (no sew) simple! Supplies:-ribbon-heat bond in width of ribbon-cloth napkin (buy mine here)-iron-fabric scissors (not shown above) Step One: Trim pieces of your ribbon to be about 1.5 inches longer than the width of your napkins. Step Two: Fold down the edges of each ribbon segment about 1/4" and iron flat. Step Three: Iron the heat bond to the ribbon (pressing with hot iron for two seconds), then peel off the paper backing. The best chocolate cake ever I'm not sure if this is the bestchocolate cake ever, but it's pretty darn good. It's just a plain bundt cake made with a cake mix. I call it a snack cake because you don't need a plate or a fork, just a napkin. This recipe was printed in the local paper years ago. Chocolate Bundt Cake aka The Best Chocolate Cake Ever 1 package chocolate cake mix ( I used Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge) 1 small (4 serving size) package instant chocolate pudding mix 2 cups (16 ounce carton) sour cream 1 cup butter, at room temperature 5 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups (12 ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips powdered sugar Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Stir together cake mix and pudding mix in a mixer bowl. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake 60 to 70 minutes. When completely cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar, then slice and serve.
