Morrogh (D) was accused by defense attorneys of having entanglements and friendships that could affect his judgement as he pursues murder-for-hire charges against Justin M. Defense attorneys had argued that Morrogh’s friendship with Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul B. But those convictions were vacated by a federal court recently after a judge found that Ebert’s office didn’t turn over key evidence that could have been used in Wolfe’s defense. Ebert then stepped aside in the case and asked that Morrogh be appointed special prosecutor. “There’s no evidence that [Morrogh’s] relationships will cause him to abandon his duties,” O’Brien said.

Though neither was expected to pass, the failure of the two separate amendments introduced as part of the 2013 Defense Authorization Bill offers a window into the bipartisan consensus that permeates Washington when it comes to appeasing the dominant influence of the military-intelligence-industrial complex that has gained unprecedented authority and profited so magnificently in the post-9/11 era. The first amendment voted down, introduced by Rep. The amendment was defeated by a margin of 217-205, with twelve members not voting (see roll call below). How Much to Sue For in a Contract, Loan, or Bad Check Case Usually, determining the amount to sue for is fairly easy. But for some types of cases it can be a little tricky. Before we get to the tricky part, let's start with a basic rule: When in doubt, always estimate your damages a little on the high side. Write it down. Unfortunately, some claims based on breach of contract are harder to reduce to a dollar amount. EXAMPLE: Tillie Tenant moves out three months before the end of her lease (remember, a lease is a contract). The mitigation of damages concept applies to most contracts in which the person damaged has the opportunity to take reasonable steps to limit his or her losses. Loan Contracts Don't invent interest if none was provided as part of the loan. Bad Checks
