Ces appareils sont constitués d’une plate-forme (structure, motorisation, système de guidage, systèmes de contrôle, capteurs, etc.) et d’une charge utile. Cette charge utile, dans le cas d’appareils légers, se limite à un appareil photo. Plus la charge utile est lourde, plus la plate-forme doit être dimensionnée en conséquence, notamment pour garder assez d’agilité dans le pilotage du drone. Dans cet article, nous nous intéresserons aux drones pour des applications en géomatique. Microsoft, Amsterdam : Sevil Peach The Brief In order to help support their 1,000 staff to work anywhere within their new 10,890m² office development, Microsoft wanted to create a new activity-based work concept. This meant no dedicated desks and no offices for senior employees. Microsoft wanted to encourage social interaction and collaboration whilst actively demonstrating the flexibility of the company’s software within the workplace. The Challenge Microsoft also wanted the space to convey a brand identity that was transparent, democratic and customer friendly. The Solution After rearranging the cores and voids of the building, we introduced an open central staircase and two outdoor meeting pavilions to give a sense of transparency and connectivity. The renderer back at that time was rather simple with respect to the interface and it was mainly a photon mapping based renderer. Even with this - rather primitive - form though, it has strong supporters and the renderer is embraced by SketchUp community. Slowly, the "team" is also assembled with all members joining early on. After the initial version, continuous work is made on the user interface as well as introducing new unbiased render modes, Bidirectional Path Tracing and Metropolis Light Transport, making Kerkythea 2008 one of the most successful rendering products.
