Zero Intelligence Agents » SNA in R Talk, Updated with [Better] This happens to be one of those rare instances where the benefit of hindsight does not make me regret something said flippantly on a panel. I deeply believe that in order to truly change the world we cannot simply "throw analytics at the problem." To that end, the medical and health industries are perhaps the most primed to be disrupted by data and analytics. To be successful, however, a deep respect for both the methodological and clinical contexts of the data are required. It is incredibly exciting to be at an organization that is both working within the current framework of health care and data to create new insight for people, but also pushing the envelope with respect to individuals' relationships with their own health. I feel lucky to have an opportunity to move into the health data space now. Sensor data The past decade of development in "big data" has -- in large part -- been built on top of the need to understand web logs files. Strength of team Here's to the next adventure!

Quick-R: Home Page R Reference Card Markdown Basics Getting the Gist of Markdown’s Formatting Syntax This page offers a brief overview of what it’s like to use Markdown. The syntax page provides complete, detailed documentation for every feature, but Markdown should be very easy to pick up simply by looking at a few examples of it in action. It’s also helpful to simply try Markdown out; the Dingus is a web application that allows you type your own Markdown-formatted text and translate it to XHTML. Note: This document is itself written using Markdown; you can see the source for it by adding ‘.text’ to the URL. Paragraphs, Headers, Blockquotes A paragraph is simply one or more consecutive lines of text, separated by one or more blank lines. Markdown offers two styles of headers: Setext and atx. Blockquotes are indicated using email-style ‘>’ angle brackets. The R Project for Statistical Computing CRAN: Manual edited by the R Development Core Team. The following manuals for R were created on Debian Linux and may differ from the manuals for Mac or Windows on platform-specific pages, but most parts will be identical for all platforms. The correct version of the manuals for each platform are part of the respective R installations. The manuals change with R, hence we provide versions for the most recent released R version (R-release), a very current version for the patched release version (R-patched) and finally a version for the forthcoming R version that is still in development (R-devel). Here they can be downloaded as PDF files, EPUB files, or directly browsed as HTML: Translations of manuals into other languages than English are available from the contributed documentation section (only a few translations are available). The LaTeX or Texinfo sources of the latest version of these documents are contained in every R source distribution (in the subdirectory doc/manual of the extracted archive).
