Joomla! Administrator Templates Themes and Extensions Hi folks, It’s truly with a heavy heart that I type these words: I’m retiring both AdminPraise and TapTheme. As I’ve been hired as a fulltime employee for a few years now, I’ve slowly had less and less time for AdminPraise and TapTheme, and have chosen to focus only on Projectfork outside of my job. With all the work I did on the Joomla admin UX for Joomla 3.0, it really defeated the purposed of AdminPraise moving forward. Joomla 3’s admin is essentially my final act for AdminPraise. Same goes for TapTheme; I worked extremely hard to get Bootstrap in the core of Joomla, knowing full and well that I was placing a shelf life on TapTheme since all Joomla sites will be responsive moving forward. When the store went down for AdminPraise and TapTheme I figured now was a good time to discontinue it. Again let me repeat: THESE FREE DOWNLOADS ARE NOT SUPPORTED, so users beware (and don’t email me unless you like a harsh lashing): AdminPraise Downloads: Download here TapTheme Downloads: Download here

The Aesthetics and Practice of Designing Interactive Computer Events Abstract: Much confusion and hyperbole surrounds discussions of the aesthetics of interactive computer events. This essay works to clarify some of this confusion by analyzing the differences between interactive and non-interactive events, reviewing the variety of forms included under the umbrella term of interactivity, and investigating the theoretical rationales offered to support claims of interactivity's superiority derived from psychological, political, art historical, and technohistory sources. Building on this analysis, the essay suggests extensions to current GUI design canons that uniquely attend to interactivity as an aesthetic issue. It also investigates the challenges of the interactivity possibilities of emerging technologies. What is Interactive Multimedia? Multimedia usually means events that include some combination of sound (music and/or voice), still image (scanned and/or synthesized computer graphics), motion image (computer animation, cinema, and/or video) and text.

The state51 Conspiracy 7 Tools to keep your Mac Healthy For the four years I’ve been using a Mac, I haven’t used a maintenance tool. All I’ve ever done was verify disk permissions, and maybe use Drive Genius to perform some optimisation. But even that was just something ‘extra’ and not necessary according to me. The real question is, can maintenance tools really help in getting your system speedy, healthy, and less prone to crashes? Maintenance A straightforward tool, as can be told by its name, Maintenance is a one window wonder. Ice Clean A much more comprehensive tool, Ice Clean is sort of your eyes into the system. When it comes to maintenance, Ice Clean can run the usual system scripts, disk verification and other forms of cleanup. MainMenu A no fuss application, MainMenu resides as an icon in your menubar. Onyx The big name in Mac maintenance, Onyx allows you to run a whole lot of maintenance scripts, along with cleanups of internet, fonts, logs, etc. MacPilot TinkerTool Cocktail Verdict
