Le récent conflit entre Free et Google a porté sur la place publique la notion de neutralité du Net. Mais depuis quand le débat est-il ouvert ? La neutralité du Net n’a pas toujours été un enjeu, car Internet était à l’origine un outil scientifique. L’an dernier encore, le conflit d’Orange contre Cogent ( lire l'article ) n’a pas eu beaucoup d’écho, car on connaît mal le rôle de ces acteurs -- Cogent est un «opérateur de transit», un gestionnaire de tuyaux. Pourquoi la neutralité est-elle un enjeu important pour ces internautes ? Dans l'affaire Free/Google, Free argue que les tuyaux sont saturés et se tourne vers Google en lui demandant de participer financièrement. A quoi ressemblerait cet Internet à plusieurs vitesses ? Step 3: Gab It was summer and I was out of school and didn't have a job, so I had a lot of free time on my hands. First I asked the working group members if I could join. Hier encore sur France Inter, ou il y a quelques semaines au Grand Journal: la notion a quitté son nid douillet mais limité de techniciens du réseau pour venir chatouiller le grand public. Il faut dire que les frasques de Free avec la publicité ou YouTube, ainsi que la volonté fraîchement affichée du gouvernement, confirmée par le Conseil national du numérique, d’inscrire la notion dans la loi, lui a donné un sacré coup de notoriété. Said the press release: Gale, part of Cengage Learning, is thrilled to announce that all its public domain content will be freely accessible on the open web. The press release linked to a website which proudly proclaimed: All Public Domain content to be freely available online. This was met with astonishment by members of our public domain discussion list, many of whom suspected that the news might well be too good to be true. I acknowledge this decision might seem a bit disorientating. I quickly fired off an email to Cengage’s Director of Media and Public Relations to see if they had any comments. This is NOT an authorized Cengage Learning press release or website – our website appears to have been illegally cloned in violation of U.S. copyright and trademark laws.

As we’ve discussed, in Batman Begins 1960s-style full employment and antipoverty programs lead to skyrocketing crime while in The Dark Knight Rises 1980s-style tough-on-crime policies and neoliberal economics lead to a revolt of the economic underclass. The films are mirror images, one about the failure of liberal policies; the other about the failure of conservative policies. From the start, the city is torn about how to handle the Batman, who has inspired a wave of second-rate imitators. Dent is doing his own part to lock up the criminals, working inside the system. Dent decides the only way to win is to go big — really big. But, as the mayor explains, Dent isn’t just taking on his own sense of ethics, he’s taking on the entire system: “the mob, politicians, journalists, cops — anyone whose wallet’s about to get lighter”. Just as Dent is frustrated with the justice system, the Joker is frustrated with the criminals. I was in Burma. Note the parallels.
