The Mountain Goats Kaputt From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Kaputt might refer to: Death Cab For Cutie Pavement (band) Though only briefly brushing the mainstream with the single "Cut Your Hair" in 1994, Pavement was a successful indie rock band. Rather than signing with a major label as many of their 1980s forebears had done, they remained signed to independent labels throughout their career and have often been described as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground in the '90s. Some prominent music critics, such as Robert Christgau and Stephen Thomas Erlewine, went so far as to call them the best band of the 1990s.[2][3] In their career, they also achieved a significant cult following.[4][5] Around 1992 Pavement became a full-time band, with the addition of bassist Mark Ibold, who had been one of the band's earliest fans, and extra percussionist Bob Nastanovich to help Young keep time. Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain was released in 1994. Brighten the Corners was released in 1997; produced by Mitch Easter it is a shorter, more conventional record than the previous album.

Conor Oberst | Bright Eyes Interpol (band) Interpol is an American rock band from New York City.[1] The band's sound is generally a mix of staccato bass and rhythmic, harmonized guitar, with a snare heavy mix, drawing comparisons to post-punk bands such as Joy Division and The Chameleons.[2] Aside from the lyrics, their songwriting method includes all of the band members, rather than relying on any given chief songwriter.[3] The band was on hiatus from 2011 through 2012 while they focused on other projects.[6] They are currently working on their fifth studio album.[7] In 2000, after releasing the Fukd ID No. 3 extended-play album, Drudy left the band to focus on Hot Cross and his label Level Plane Records. Kessler recruited Fogarino, who worked at a local vintage clothing store and at the time considered retiring from music, to replace Drudy.[9] While a member of Interpol, Drudy was also a member of seminal first-wave screamo act Saetia. Our Love to Admire was released in July 2007. Paul Banks - Budapest, 2011
