incompetech | Custom Production Music and also Graph Paper Sorry, Russia… For the last few days, I’ve been having problems with some very aggressive search engine robots from Yandex. It looks like a Russian search engine, and while I would like to be listed, my site can’t take the hit of hundreds of requests a second that they were sending at me… looks like many many many requests for the same audio files over and over again. If you had issues with this site over the last couple of days – it should be all fixed now! A Public Apology Yesterday, I was informed through Adsense policy that this site contains sensitive material. Google does not allow the monetization of content that may be sensitive, tragic, or hurtful. If anyone was hurt by insensitive or hurtful use of logarithmic graph paper, I apologize. Here is the page in question… I understand some types of graph paper may be difficult to talk about, but ignoring logarithmic graph paper will not make logarithmic graph paper magically go away. PowToon, free business presentation software animated video maker and PowerPoint alternative Word Cloud Generator How the Word Cloud Generator Works The layout algorithm for positioning words without overlap is available on GitHub under an open source license as d3-cloud. Note that this is the only the layout algorithm and any code for converting text into words and rendering the final output requires additional development. As word placement can be quite slow for more than a few hundred words, the layout algorithm can be run asynchronously, with a configurable time step size. This makes it possible to animate words as they are placed without stuttering. It is recommended to always use a time step even without animations as it prevents the browser’s event loop from blocking while placing the words.
