C.C Earlier this year I was commissioned to create the film campaign for exciting Australian Horror/Thriller Lemon Tree Passage. In true horror fashion, one early morning I received a call that said I had 7 days to create the artwork. 7 days to cast, clothe & make up a group of disheveled teenage victims & shoot the several elements needed for the end composite, locate & shoot a beautiful vintage car with an inspiring dashboard, composite & retouch the whole artwork in both Quad, Onesheet & TwoSheet format, create the title designs, as well as 2 days of solid file transferring ready for Berlinale festival. A challenge? Definitely. My Favorite Handwritten Fonts Tons of new websites are being created everyday and it is noticable that if you want to be unique and stand out from the crowd you need to find creative ways of using type, pictures and other design elements in any kind of work you produce. For that reason I would suggest you give a try on handwritten fonts. Handwritten type are the perfect choice if you want to add some charm and personal touch to your work. With appropriate and well thought-out use of white space, handwritten fonts do bring your designs style and elegance. Nevertheless, you should avoid excessive use of handwritten fonts in your work because it can at times be hard to read.

THEE BLOG 07Oct 14 Latest Project: Miami MLS Team It’s been seven months since David Beckham announced his intention to bring an MLS team to Miami, and even though I’ve never trusted Miami politicians, I was excited because I love the game and would love to get my kids involved in it as I was since a very early age. So, I ignored the “Don’t trust Gimenez” banners – which proved to be accurate – and watched the press conference, joined my local official supporters group and shared the news with friends. Fast forward a few months and we are still in limbo.

Garrett Dimon: New Icon for Instagram done In-house Launched in 2010, Instagram needs little introduction, especially as it’s become the preferred social media platform for most users thanks to its simple interface, highly visual timeline, and despite its growing amount of “Sponsored” posts. Not as huge as its parent company, Facebook, Instagram has 200 million daily active people — which is not total users, but the amount of people that come back to the app every single day, spending an average of 21 minutes on it. (Data provided by Instagram.) I don’t know if I spend 21 minutes daily on it but I do check it an obnoxious amount of times a day. Today Instagram is introducing an update to its user interface and changing (dramatically) its app icon for the first time since launch. The script wordmark redesigned in 2013 remains the same.

Code example of Responsive web design using CSS3 Media Queries (design @ IBM developerWorks) With the introduction of CSS3 media queries, web developers can create CSS which enables a web page to adapt and respond to whatever device renders it. Creating a responsive design, one where elements on the web page are fluid, has never been simpler.
