The Bookstore Date by Tara Bookstore Date “Choose Your Own Adventure” on this memorable date night! I love, love, love to read!! My husband, on the other hand, would rather do anything else instead of reading! Most of the dates I have posted so far have been pretty crazy….meaning, you would have to have an *extrovert* type of personality to do them. We started off by eating at a super-friendly-to-the-budget eatery. Afterwards, I handed him this: You can download this invite & both task cards HERE! Yeah…he wasn’t too thrilled at first! Once we were there, we found a cozy little spot and I presented him with the FIRST of two “Task Cards”. #1 – Visit the COOKING section & chose a recipe that you would like to make for your spouse. #2 – Visit the MAGAZINE section & find a quiz in a magazine that you and your spouse could do together. #3 – Visit the CHILDREN’S section & find a book that was a favorite when you were a child or that holds a special memory for you…and read them to each other when you meet back up.
Choose Your Own Adventure Date : The Dating Divas by Tara This date was inspired by the “Choose Your Own Adventure” books I used to read in Elementary School. I was a pretty outgoing kiddo….but I was also SUCH a bookworm! Seriously! First the INVITE!! My husband, Jamie, LOVED it! We invited four couples over to our house & once everyone was assembled – we {the wives}handed the guys FIVE envelopes. Each girl made up a poem/riddle/clue (in advance) for a place they knew their husband would love to eat. After the guys figured out all of the clues…they couldn’t decide which place they wanted to go to – they liked them ALL! We then divided up into two groups….for the two cars that would take us there. I tried to take pictures of the others doing their tasks. (A HUGE thanks to the other girls AND my CUTE sisters for coming up with a lot of the tasks! We received a lot of fun AND funny reactions from people in other cars. After our eventful car ride to the restaurant…we arrived, were seated, and we ordered our SUPER yummy food.
