Brain Games & Brain Training Queen Anne Style architecture (United States) In America, the Queen Anne style of architecture, furniture and decorative arts was popular in the United States from 1880 to 1910.[1] In American usage "Queen Anne" is loosely used of a wide range of picturesque buildings with "free Renaissance" (non-Gothic Revival) details rather than of a specific formulaic style in its own right. American Queen Anne style[edit] Queen Anne Style buildings in America came into vogue in the 1880s, replacing the French-derived Second Empire as the "style of the moment." The popularity of high Queen Anne Style waned in the early 1900s, but some elements, such as the wraparound front porch, continued to be found on buildings into the 1920s. Compost Compost A homemade compost tumbler Compost (/ˈkɒmpɒst/ or /ˈkɒmpoʊst/) is organic matter that has been decomposed and recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment. Compost is a key ingredient in organic farming. At the simplest level, the process of composting simply requires making a heap of wetted organic matter known as green waste (leaves, food waste) and waiting for the materials to break down into humus after a period of weeks or months. Modern, methodical composting is a multi-step, closely monitored process with measured inputs of water, air, and carbon- and nitrogen-rich materials. Compost can be rich in nutrients. Ingredients[edit] Home compost barrel in the Escuela Barreales, Chile. Composting organisms require four equally important ingredients to work effectively: Materials in a compost pile. Certain ratios of these materials will provide beneficial bacteria with the nutrients to work at a rate that will heat up the pile. Urine[edit] Urine is primarily composed of water and urea.

Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Genomics:GTL Center for Molecular and Cellular Systems Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) The laboratory information management system (LIMS) for the pilot Genomic Science Center is the central data repository for all information related to processing and analysis of Center samples. It maintains a detailed history for each sample by capturing processing parameters, protocols, stocks, tests and analytical results for the complete life cycle of the sample. Project and study data are also maintained to define each sample in the context of the research tasks it supports. LIMS systems were implemented at both ORNL and PNNL using the Nautilus™ software from Thermo Electron Corporation ( The LIMS maintains the history of all stock items. The LIMS is configured by establishing workflows that parallel the processing steps completed in the laboratory. Related Publications Article: J.M. Abstract: Denise D. Abstract: William R.
