This Is The Ultimate Routine For A Perfect Work Day
You might think the perfect workday includes a promotion or a raise, or perhaps your evil boss getting fired. Sadly, such monumental events don't happen very often. The good news is that there are plenty of little things you can do to improve both your productivity and your happiness if you feel stuck at your desk all day. One simple trick is to structure your time better -- which includes taking more breaks. Other helpful habits are even easier to pick up: Just going outside or taking a few minutes to watch the latest cute cat video can help make you a better worker. Sure, you might realistically not have enough time to incorporate all these suggestions in your daily routine, but every little bit helps. About Us stickK empowers you to better your lifestyle. We offer you the opportunity, through 'Commitment Contracts', to show to yourself and others the value you put on achieving your goals. stickK was formed by combining personal experience and scholarly research. Our story began at Yale University a few years ago when Dean Karlan (Economics Professor at Yale and Co-Founder of stickK) came up with the idea of opening an online 'Commitment Store'. He envisioned that people would come to the Commitment Store to sign contracts obliging them to achieve their personal goals such as losing weight or quitting smoking. Dean experimented with this concept by making contracts himself (click here to read his personal weight loss story). Now let's get a little technical.... The Commitment Contract concept is based on two well known principles of behavioral economics: 1.People don't always do what they claim they want to do, and2.Incentives get people to do things And the rest, as they say, is history.

It’s a new year. A new year, with all of its bright, shining potential. I, for one, have some of the same goals that so many others do: getting into better shape, restoring good habits which have waned, and checking new things off of my aging bucket-list. It was the fall and winter of gluttony, sloth, and laziness. So, like many, I approached this new year as an opportunity to set and achieve all sorts of goals. But part of planning the year ahead successfully is looking at the years gone by reflectively. Well, I graduated from college at age 44 with top honors. The past few years have been the richest in my life, and today I realized that I made all of that progress without goals. And it all started with yoga. I did not start yoga because I was interested in weight loss, strength, exercise, socialization, or self-improvement. Yoga gave me physical strength. But it's time for me to walk the talk and listen to what I say. Photo Credit: Stocksy.com Photo Credit: Shutterstock.com
