And by this evening, I mean at 1 in the morning, and by several unsuccessful activities, I mean: Parkour does not work when it’s slick and wetBackflip bicycle kicks are bad for my health, as I should have already learned from faceplanting in front of a few thousand people last yearAnd sadly, two rolls of standard gorilla tape is not enough to go rappelling with… But, somehow, we must press on with our insanity. After a long string of failed crazy plans and unsuccessful invitations, I am changing tactics. Rather than trying to plot everything on my own and then rope accomplices into things, I’m going for a networked version of plotting, with open invitations for anyone up to the task.

To start things off, I’m compiling some of my biggest unachieved adventure brain children that I’ve come up with the past year: -Camping on a rooftop. Numbers- 2-4 people Time frame- 1 night. Numbers: the more the merrier! Elevator projects. And it sinks in. So it’s 5 am, and I’m sitting in my hotel bathroom, for fear of waking my roommate up. It’s been an hour now and can’t go back to sleep, so I figured I’d begin to write (I guess reality is finally kicking in). What an experience these last oh 12 hours or so have been! Blessed is the only way I can even begin to describe my feelings right now. As I laid in bed most of yesterday, resting and preparing for last nights swim, I was not nervous at all; excited would be a better word.

We went after blogs that address interesting and timely issues and feature useful, upbeat (but never in an annoying way) posts that reflect Greatist's mission of making healthy living a little bit easier and a lot more fun. We then looked at a variety of factors, including frequency of posts, comments and engagement with readers, number of social media followers, and design quality to narrow down the list to these rock stars.
