As in, 'that's a BHubb dinner', which tranlates to 'that's the kind of dish that makes Brian, aka BHubb, a happy man'. Typically a BHubb meal is rich and heavy, and most often has some sort of pork product involved. You see, sometimes I get on a salad kick, or a soup kick, and there will be weeks where most of our meals are one or the other.

They adore them. Husband likes them quite a bit as well, but Son and Daughters will take down more noodles than most people I know. To give you an idea, to feed all three of them, we have to order two large bowls of pho noodles (and they like the one with bits of beef and tripe and all the lovely extras). I love winter because I can wear tons of cloths and hide my tons of layers of fat but on the other hand I hate winter because even if I apply tons n tons of moisturizer my skin still feel dry and dead and BAD! Then again I love winter as it’s season of festivity and holidays but yet again I dread the shopping and the planning and the decorating and the never-ending to-do list… (OK I really not dread shopping! And my dear hubby if you are reading this, which I am sure you are; you need to pitch in with the rest!!). So the list goes on and on but honestly with all being said I ADORE this time of the year, the shorter days, the long nights, fireplace, just being lazy and cozy whenever we get a chance… Yes I do have a special relationship with winter!

Exaggerating when I say this quick, creamy garlic alfredo sauce has changed how I view non-dinner nights. You know. Those nights when dinner just ain’t happening. Too many things going on. Too lazy (who, me??). Spaghetti Tacos! So this all started with two things.

First was this show that I have only a dim awareness of…it is called iCarly, and it is usually playing somewhere in the background when the teenager is home, and when she isn’t watching House or Glee (two shows that I actually have heard of and like and watch.) Until last week, I hadn’t given more than a split seconds-worth of thought to the fact that iCarly even existed in the world. LaSaGnA TiMpAnO. I went to see tUnE-yArDs on Monday night with some friends, and as always we wanted to cook a meal that somehow related to the show we were heading to.

Sometimes this is hard to do, but other times it seems to come naturally. Finding culinary inspiration in Merrill's lyrics seemed like it would be tough, but my sister knew what she wanted to make without hesitation. "How about something layered, because of all the vocal and instrument layering in the music? " From there we worked together to come up with this deep, colorful, and multi-flavored lasagna version of a timpano. If you are using words like deep, colorful, and multi-flavored to describe something inspired by tUnE-yArDs, you already know you got it right!

Start by making a lasagna crust. Finally got it together. Now it's easy, just start building the layers! Alfredo sauce with some salami goes first. After 3 alfredo layers, I switched to pesto.
