Polarity Therapy: Linking Ancient Knowledge and Modern Physics

Polarity therapy is a system of holistic healthcare based on an understanding of the flow of life energy. Life energy must flow correctly to maintain optimum health. The body reflects in its structure and function the sum total of our 'history'. This is encoded in the energy fields that surround the body and interpenetrate it. So one can regard the physical body as being 'woven' from these energy fields. Dr Randolph Stone (1890-1981) was the creator of Polarity Therapy. There is no avoiding that some concept of a primary energy field is necessary to understand life, although conventional biology and orthodox medicine seem to manage to deny this, dismissing it as 'Vitalism'.

Life is Pulsation There seems to be a polarity principle at work in the very fabric of the universe which can be seen in everyday life: Hot/cold, black/white, up/down and so on. I want to share some information about a fascinating healing art form called Polarity Therapy.

My post will go into detail about how Polarity therapy is a blend of modern science and complementary medicine. It is a comprehensive health system involving energy-based bodywork, diet, exercise and self-awareness. I highly suggest learning more about this broad holistic approach to medicine to both prevent and cure most mental and physical health issues. Open your mind! Energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature. This just in on my Facebook Page today: an interesting question came along that I thought might appeal to others not on Facebook… “I was a student of Richard’s at a Polarity conference and his answer to how the chakras and the Chinese meridians flow together has always stuck with me.

Acupuncture AND Polarity Therapy: Mutually Inclusive!

I now have a student questioning me on why I choose this modality, as she has used acupuncture a lot with good results and why should I know this new work over that one? I’m wondering if I could get that info from you again to help her get the whole picture. You can share it on my Midwest Polarity page if you like. It is based on the work of Dr. Randolph Stone who integrated his work as a naturopath, osteopath and chiropractor with the Eastern concepts of energy-flow in the Ayurvedic system of India, as well as the Chinese and Egyptian Hermetic systems. In a Polarity session, the practitioner seeks to bring into balance all levels of the client’s being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

The key to this process is tuning in to the energy flow of the individual and discovering where it is blocked and how to get it moving again. A Polarity session usually consists of about an hour of hands-on bodywork which involves a series of of both light and deep contacts to release the energy and allow it to re-establish a normal balanced flow.

The body is a composite of the interaction of the five elements (which are electromagnetic in nature) in the physical domain. The body, then, is an electromagnetic energy system expressing the dynamic interplay of the five elements from their most subtle to their most dense forms. Each form manifests a unique anatomy, with the most subtle form expressed as a "wireless" circuitry directing the flow of energy in its etheric state.

Thus are created not only all aspects of the body, but also the totality of human expression, described by Dr. Chakra, Human Energy Field. Chakra. From an 1899 Yoga manuscript in the Braj Bhasa language.

Chakra

Their name derives from the Sanskrit word for "wheel" or "turning", but in the yogic context a better translation of the word is 'vortex or whirlpool'.[1][note 1] The concept of chakra features in tantric and yogic traditions of Hinduism and Buddhism. Etymology[edit] Sanskrit chakra derives from the Proto-Indo-European *kʷekʷlos; its cognates include Greek kuklos, Lithuanian kaklas, Tocharian B kokale, and English "wheel," as well as "circle" and "cycle".[2] M.

"Circle," used in a variety of senses, symbolising endless rotation of shakti.A circle of people. The linguist Jorma Koivulehto wrote (2001) of the annual Finnish Kekri celebration, having borrowed the word from early Indo-Aryan Languages.[5] History[edit] Characteristics[edit] EnergyBody Science.
