The Global Wordnet Assocation (GWA)

The Global WordNet Association is a free, public and non-commercial organization that provides a platform for discussing, sharing and connecting wordnets for all languages in the world. The aims of the association are: http://www.globalwordnet.org/

EuroWordNet:Building a multilingual database with wordnets for s

EuroWordNet was a European resources and development project supported by the Human Language Technology sector of the Telematics Applications Programme (also see the description of all the funded projects ). EuroWordNet is a multilingual database with wordnets for several European languages (Dutch, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Czech and Estonian). The wordnets are structured in the same way as the American wordnet for English ( Princeton WordNet , Miller et al 1990) in terms of synsets (sets of synonymous words) with basic semantic relations between them. Each wordnet represents a unique language-internal system of lexicalizations.

Semantics?

Computational Semantics Information

This page attempts to collect some basic information, online and otherwise, for computational semantics. It was prompted by a query for information which Barbara Partee sent out to a number of people. The responses as well as some additional information were put together by Kyle Rawlins . Please note: I compiled this around 2002-3, when I was an undergraduate. http://www.cog.jhu.edu/~rawlins/clsbib/

Computational Semantics with Functional Programming

"The introductory chapters are probably going to be unnecessary for LtU readers, but once things get going there is a lot to learn here if you are interested in formal semantics of natural language, especially in the Montague-style. And if this doesn't ring a bell - just search for 'continutation' in the manuscript, and be prepared to meet old friends (you know who you are) in a new context." Sofy Moradi, Teheran, Dec 18, 2010: "Let me use this opportunity to give you my feedback on your wonderfully nice job: Computational Semantics with Functional Programming .
WordNet® is a large lexical database of English. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are grouped into sets of cognitive synonyms (synsets), each expressing a distinct concept. Synsets are interlinked by means of conceptual-semantic and lexical relations. The resulting network of meaningfully related words and concepts can be navigated with the browser . WordNet is also freely and publicly available for download . http://wordnet.princeton.edu/
