Elkay has created a number of creative sinks for virtually any style or occasions, coming in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes for both residential and commercial use. The Mystic flowing sink, however, has to be their best yet. As shown above, this sink design curves and winds its way through a chosen surface. It can be set into something that is shaped like it is or can be set against the more standard rectangular surfaces found in most kitchens. It can be filled with ice, fruit and/or beverages for parties.

Other sinks by Elkay come in all kinds of innovative forms with various purposes. Some are borderline kitch, shaped like things such as martini glasses which are great for parties but hard to envision in most homes. More Quilled Lettering! Ready for some more fab lettering? Today's examples were created by a quilling newbie who was inspired by Yulia Brodskaya, just like Kara from Monday's post. Erin Casner quilled Everything is Awesome as her very first project! While expecting a baby, she wanted to make colorful wall art for the nursery. Not having proper quilling paper and tools certainly didn't stop her... Erin snipped the end off the eye of a needle to use as a rolling tool and cut strips of lightweight cardstock from her stash. She says she learned a few lessons from this piece - such as making the lettering larger than just an inch tall (larger makes it easier to be more precise) and using colored paper instead of white for the letters.

Consider these rainbow paloozas as Erin calls them - love that! Next, Erin made this Imagine piece, also for the baby's room. This nice, big C is her most recent piece for the nursery. Seriya108. Look at Your Interior and Love It With Mira En Tu Interior Designs. Artwork makes a big impact on a space: it draws the eye towards something beautiful and focuses the attention, and it fills in negative space while expressing one's personality and tastes. On a larger scale, it is one of the easiest ways to make a dramatic impact and change the whole feeling of a space. Barcelona-based Mira En Tu Interior's vinyl stickers can enliven the "skin" of your walls in one fell swoop, providing some dazzling flavor to otherwise empty space. But beware: these are not for the faint of (decorating) heart. These bold designs make for some very funktified living spaces that you just can't ignore. And with their fresh and playful themes, who would want to? Mira En Tu Interior offers several designs along different themes: flowers, dreams and abstractions, geometric doodles, blurbs of text (mostly in Spanish), and even stuff for the kiddos.

Another bonus is that the patterns generally come in several different sizes and colors, for a really customized piece. Hello there! It’s been a busy week with a trip to Seattle for the Picasso exhibition and a drive out to the coast but I knew I had to share this amazing remodel with you before the week came to a close. Everyone loves good makeovers and the ones involving tiny spaces, creative design and ingenious solutions are my all time favorites! Check out how Seattle artist, designer and welder, Michelle de la Vega, created this beautiful little 250 sq. ft. haven… The before… This lonely little detached garage is just begging for some love. The after! A cozy, light filled sleeping loft is so perfect for the space.

The kitchen is well organized and accessible with open storage solutions. The rustic wood burning stove becomes sculptural in this room along with Michelle’s own art installations. The glass boxes housing pillow forms are actually a tribute to Michelle’s father. You know I am a big fan of great bathroom design and this one delivers.
