Cercando qualcosa di interessante per la rete, mi sono imbattuto in un form in cui si chiedeva se si era disponibili per un test di un modem router di Sitecom ! Ho colto l'occasione al balzo e, qualche giorno dopo.. ecco che un corriere mi consegna un pacco contenete l'oggetto in questione: il Sitecom Wireless Gigabit modem router N750 "x6" . Dotazione: La scatola contiene tutti il necessario per il corretto funzionamento: il modem/router, l'alimentazione, un cavo di rete, un cavo telefonico, il manuale utente, un cd, una card per attivare il servizio "Sitecom Cloud Security" e, addirittura, viti e tasselli per il montaggio a muro Caratteristiche: E' un classico modem/router wireless.. con in aggiunta alcune chicche davvero interessanti: Stay Tuned !

My old buddy Nick Felton spends a lot of time tracking his every move. After years of hanging with him knowing at the end of the year my stats would also in some way be immortalized in that years annual report, I decided to make use of one of the tools he created to track all that data: Daytum. It might be old news now, considering he’s moved on from Daytum, but it’s taken a while for the type of data I’ve been tracking to reveal something, hence the late-to-the party post. I started obsessively keeping track of all of my music purchases via Daytum mostly just to keep tabs on myself – to make sure I was in fact supporting artists like I claimed I was. But most telling to me is how the formats break down. It may be a hold over from the vinyl and cd days, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t commit to the Rdio’s and the Spotify’s out there.

L'emploi du temps. Il transito di Venere davanti al disco solare è un evento estremamente raro tant’è che nel secolo scorso non si è mai verificato.
Dall’invenzione del cannocchiale, quasi quattro secoli fa, si sono avuti solo cinque transiti: nel 1639, 1761, 1769, 1874 e 1882. In particolare per quelli del 1761 e 69 furono organizzate numerose spedizioni scientifiche dall’Europa - da dove il transito non era visibile - in tutto il globo. Tra le tante storie di questi gloriosi scienziati quella di Guillame Joseph Hyacinthe Jean-Baptiste Le Gentil de La Galaisière è quella che non smette di inquietarmi. Le Gentil fu designato dall’Académie des Sciences a guidare la spedizione diretta a Pondichéry, sulla costa indiana, per osservare il transito di Venere del 1761.
Consapevole dell’importanza dell’appuntamento si imbarcò con discreto anticipo, sul finire del marzo 1760. Le Gentil non si perse d’animo e proseguì la sua missione per i nove anni successivi. PUBLIC SCHOOL. PIG Mag. NOTCOT.ORG.
