Product. More than just a paper store. How to draw LANIE. By Linda Farmer, CZT The very pretty floral tangle Lanie is from fellow Floridian Adele Bruno and this is her second tangle pattern on the site.

How to draw LANIE

If I’m not mistaken, Adele is attending the CZT#9 class in Providence, Rhode Island this week. Another enthusiastic class of certified Zentangle® teachers will graduate in a few days and we congratulate them all! “This pattern is named for our daughter Elena, we affectionately call her ‘Lanie’. Her favorite flower is the Gerber daisy. Would you guess that Lanie begins with a grid? Here are Adele’s step-by-step instructions for drawing Lanie. All images copyright the artist, used with permission. Here’s Adele’s lovely monotangle Zentangle featuring Lanie.

TANGLE GUIDE. My TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE, 2014 Edition is a 31-page interactive eBook resource where the tangle images are hot-linked to their post on this site for the how-to instructions.

TANGLE GUIDE

The TanglePatterns.com TANGLE GUIDE integrates all the tangles appearing on the site from May 2010 through December 31, 2013. You can print out the document for your personal use. Many have spiral bound it for convenience. It is a complete interactive tool for using the website and learning how to draw the tangles. This year to accommodate those who asked for an addendum instead of the whole guide, I also added a new page with a list of all the new tangles added to the “Tangle Hall of Fame” during 2013.

Another new feature is a section suggesting several different ways to use the TANGLE GUIDE to help you choose tangles. You will receive a single-user license file for your own exclusive non-commercial personal use. Your purchase helps maintain and grow this Zentangle® resource and is greatly appreciated. How to draw SPOKES

Caren was one of my classmates in the CZT#7 training seminar and she now teaches in the Charleston, South Carolina, area so if you’re from around there check out Caren’s classes. “I was just fooling around with some patterns when I came up with this, and wasn’t influenced by anything in particular. I decided to name it ‘spokes’ since it reminds me of the spokes on a bike. It has a Bales-like look, but is constructed in a different manner.” “I first learned about Zentangle about a year and a half ago and immediately was hooked. After retiring from teaching elementary school, I recently relocated to South Carolina. For my example of Spokes I drew the variation shown in Caren’s steps below. “One piece of advice is when you do the spokes in step 6, start with the lines that go from the center circle straight out perpendicular to the sides, then fill in a couple of lines on each side of that.
