Dressed Up Nails: Baby's first striping tape manicure (China Glaze On Safari nail art part 3!) Hi lovelies! Happy Wednesday, we're halfway through the work week, yay! Today I'm really excited to show you guys my first adventure with striping tape. This manicure started with a 3 lovely coats of China Glaze Prey Tell, a gorgeous vampy wine red that I wore alone for a day before doing this design on top of it. I knew I wanted to try my striping tape this week but I have no patience for tape when it comes to whole the "waiting for my polish to dry before using it" bit so I solved that problem by using it on a day-old manicure!

To make the patterns I just taped them off with the striping tape, applied 1 thick coat of the coppery sparkly awesomeness that is China Glaze I Herd That, then removed the tape while the polish was still wet. After all my nails were done I used 2 thick coats of Seche Vite on top since the stripes were super textured and I Herd That is also something of a topcoat-eater.

After I'd done the first few nails I was definitely starting to get the hang of it. How To: Splatter Paint Nails | Pretty Gossip. With the Olympic trials in full swing and the 4th of July right around the corner, I decided to get patriotic with my nail art this weekend! I searched for a quick and easy way to wear all 3 colors of the American flag and decided that splatter paint would be the perfect (and easiest) way to do it! What you’ll need: - 1 paper plate (Thick or waxed paper plates work best. Foil is also an option) - Tape and scissors - A couple of Q-tips - Nail polish remover - 1 straw cut in half. Using a shorter straw will give you more control over the splatter. - Any 3 nail polishes colors. I chose an opaque white, and shimmery red and blue nail polish to add some sparkle and dimension. (Orly: Softest White, MyFaceCosmetics: Bellbottom Blues, Sally Hansen: Red Carpet.

How to Splatter Nail Paint: Paint your nails opaque white and let dry. That’s it! Have fun! Sinful Pearl Harbor over Wet N' Wild Nocturnal. I have had Sinful's Pearl Harbor for a while now, and I actually just learned that it is DC'd :( Well I'm glad I got 2, cause it's just sooooo pretty. Here I layered it over Wet n Wild's Nocturnal. I just love the bright blue specks (sigh). How to "TIE DYE" your nails tutorial | Beauty Tutorials. How to do a French Manicure: quick and easy sticker or tape tutorial! Dry Water Marble Nail Tutorial | Beauty Tutorials. More Stripes & Dots. Firstly, let me say that if I had to choose, Essie would be my favourite nail polish brand. I don't own an outrageous amount (considering my stash is only around 120 bottles), but my Essies far outnumber the other brands. With that said, I've got a mani to show you using two Essie polishes: my recently acquired Mojito Madness, and Mesmerise.

You probably won't believe me, but this is one coat of Mojito Madness. Yes, ONE COAT! Without giving it a thought I had expected to have to do 2 coats, but after just one (and not a particularly thick one) I couldn't even come up with a valid reason to add a second coat! This polish is such a beautiful colour; add the flawless formula and this one's a huge WIN in my books. Anywho, I'm (not really) sorry to say that I loved my stripes and dots so much last time that I couldn't help but do it again. Is anyone else getting a polo shirt vibe from this? I must say that I do like this one better than my previous stripes & dots mani; what do you think? ✝✝✝Gnarly Gnails✝✝✝: 30/31 Day Challenge: Day 27 - Artwork. Hey Guys! The theme for today is ARTWORK - So obviously, I am inspired by Tattoo Art. Moreso because my boyfriend is an amazing painter of traditional tattoo style art so I just HAD to do something like that!
