This mixed media artist’s cast of jointed characters tug at my heart with their melancholy expressions. I’m drawn in and my imagination goes into overdrive wondering about the little charmers. I am always on the lookout for glass jewelry that stands out and Mirella Foffano’s 2012 collection fits that description. Foffano combines pyrex and Murano glass with rubber and fabric to create bold statement necklaces. I couldn’t find much information about her or her process, but I thought you would enjoy seeing how nicely she gets glass to play with rubber.

For over a decade, Chris Crites has been known for his hand painted four and five-color portraits of vintage mug shots that are meticulously rendered on brown paper bags. In collaboration with 360SEE, Crites has been known to stray from mid-century mug shot subjects and paint portraits of contemporary high-profile criminals. As a follow up to his highly publicized Pay-To-Play series, featuring portraits of disgraced former Illinois Governors and a political fundraiser, Crites has now examined the corruption in the financial sector with the series American Psycho - Financial Terrorists. This new series consists of (4) 4x5” hand painted, framed, portraits of artist-accused financial terrorists:

ETN is a non-profit organisation with its seat in Strasbourg and a secretariat in Hannover.
