DVI-D Cape for BeagleBoard BeagleBone. Response to a rather angry reviewer:If I were to write a review that rates a product on the merits of the product's distributor, what would my review actually approach?

DVI-D Cape for BeagleBoard BeagleBone

Not anything related to the product! At best there is a somewhat explicable expression of ire (though it's object is incorrect) and at worst an absolute confusion on the utility of product reviews as some platform to promulgate invectives against a supplier. Rather silly and infantile. Please excuse the comments concerning a wayward post, but if MAKE won't address and protect their own brand or defend TI and Circuitco in this instance then, I will!

Because the review I respond to is bombastic! Ignore sensationalism of others, and if you do happen to have an issue with the board, well, talk to the board manufacturer and don't bash a distributor. I thought it might be useful to compare these two boards and highlight their relative advantages. Both boards are Linux-based single board computers about the size of a credit card. You can attach monitors, networks, keyboards and mice to both of them and both of them have GPIO connectors that allow you to attach and control external electronics. This makes them suitable for all sorts of DIY projects, from home automation to robot control. About the Raspberry Pi The Raspberry Pi, managed to create a huge amount of interest around the world, even before its release. While the project started in the UK as a platform for getting kids to learn to program, the board has been adopted around the world as a platform for hobbyists and educationalists.

FLL question; "So how to build strong" Last Saturday I was at the biggest FLL Region finals in the Netherlands as the well known MINDSTORMS doctor, and there I got the Question;" How do I build a sturdy and good winning robot?

FLL question; "So how to build strong"

" It is real hard to answer that question, as all missions are different and need different robot approaches, but some general rules do apply always. First I tell the teams that the robot with all sorts of odd angles to connect the tools is not the best, (so rather not use the standard 9797 base robot). I advice the kids to do the following regarding the caster wheel: " go to a shopping mall, take a shopping chart and place it on a free area, then turn all the wheels perpendicular to the forward direction. then use one finger and push forward. Observe where does the chart goo? Straight ? But then there are some good advices to be taken form various books, and right now I like to highlight two: The Unofficial LEGO Builder's Guide (Now in Color!)
