What experienced L&D/OD practitioners tend to do is rely on a great deal of tacit knowledge to come up with the right approach. However, there are some activities that you can nearly always undertake in order to get useful information to inform your L&D strategy and I thought I’d outline some of these.

Places I went
Over the last year or so, I’ve spent almost as much time thinking about how to teach data visualization as I’ve spent working with data. I’ve been a teacher for 10 years – for better or for worse this means that as I learn new techniques and concepts, I’m usually thinking about pedagogy at the same time.
