The lawsuit -- the second Nokia has filed against Apple in a patent war that broke out in October -- is nearly identical to the complaint the Finnish phone manufacturer filed with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) on Dec. 29. In the ITC complaint, Nokia also demanded that Apple be barred from bringing "all of Apple's electronic devices that infringe one or more claims of the Asserted Patents" into the U.S. Nokia used similar language in its second lawsuit, filed Dec. 29 with a Delaware federal court.

Elsewhere in the filing, Nokia spelled out the seven patents it alleges Apple has infringed upon. Nokia has not, however, filed a motion specifically asking the court to slap an injunction on Apple's hardware sales. At times, such tactics work. Nexus One Vs. Nokia Vs. Apple. The Buzz is in the air and consumers are saving money to get their hands on the most talked about cell phone since iPhone. The good news is that it is available in various variants ranging from $179 for locked with T-Mobile package plan to $529 UNLOCKED. Even at the price of $529, it is cheaper than most Nokia’s flagship cell phones (N97, N96) or Apple’s iPhone 3GS. Now this is what will worry Nokia and Apple the most. Google has a habit of keeping its products in Beta for a very long time but we think that it might not be the case with Nexus One.

There are ways in which Nokia and Apple can some what save themselves from the embarrassment of tossed around by Google’s Nexus One and that is through coming up with better pricing. The lawsuit, filed last week in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, follows another suit Nokia brought against Apple in October. That suit alleged that Apple infringed 10 Nokia patents by using certain wireless technologies in the iPhone. Apple filed a countersuit last month accusing Nokia of infringing 13 Apple patents. The new suit lists seven patents Nokia alleges Apple has violated in versions of the iPhone, the iPod, the MacBook and in other products.

An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment. The latest suit was filed on the same day Nokia made similar allegations in a complaint with the U.S. Nokia and Apple have exchanged harsh words over the allegations.
