The 6.x themes listed in this Pearl Tree is not an exhaustive list of available Drupal themes. It's more of a stripped down guide for those wishing to start theming with Drupal.

Basic
Basic boasts a clean HTML5 structure with extensible CSS classes and ID's for unlimited theming possibilities as well as a top-down load order for improved SEO. It is fully responsive out-of-the-box and provides an adaptive, elegant, SASS based grid system ( Bourbon Neat ). Basic's goal is to provide themers the building blocks needed to get their designs up and running quickly and simply . Basic is perfect if you want a simple, smart, and flexible theme starter. Notice: The Drupal 5 and 6 version of Basic is not under active development and no new features will be added to this branch. New features will only be added to Drupal 7 and 8 versions.Fuse Basic
A branch of the basic theme by Steve Krueger and Hubert Florin. Development sponsored by Fuse Interactive . We've expanded the 960px layout to 975px to give us more breathing room and added a spiffy javascript grid overlay based on # grid . Please note The Drupal 7 release of Fusebasic is up to date with the latest release but is not production ready. The grid overlay still needs some work and not all features of the Drupal 6 release have been included at this point.
Fluid Baseline Grid
The Fluid Baseline Grid System is an HTML5 & CSS3 development kit that provides a solid foundation to quickly design websites with ease. I found this responsive grid system and thought it was a great building block for a Drupal theme in my initial proof of concept. The Fluid Baseline Grid System is released under an Unlicense license and therefore is considered in the public domain. Feel free to modify the default template layout based on the usage example below to fit your individual website's needs. You can easily create a sub-theme of FBG with different template configurations, stylesheets, and images.
NineSixty (960 Grid System)

960 Robots is a theme created by Lullabot for its Drupal theming videos . This theme, based on the 960 grid system , features two columns on the right side of the page, a two-column footer, and calendar-page dates for posts. The theme also uses Twitter's search API to display a random message based on a configurable search string as the site's slogan (PHP5 required).

This theme is based on Holy Grail and controlled by Grid and developed as a subtheme of Zen . Nifty 50 was originally developed for my personal site. It is based on the Fluid 960 Grid System, created by Stephen Bau , based on the 960 Grid System by Nathan Smith . Features 1, 2, or 3 column, clean, elegant, fluid layout Both sidebars are placed on the right for better navigation and SEO Works nicely with the administration areas.Fusion is a powerful base theme, with layout and style configuration options built in that you can control through Drupal's UI. It's based on a simplified 960px or fluid 12/16-column grid with options for responsive layouts for mobile devices. It's designed to be used with the Fusion Accelerator module (or with Skinr in Drupal 6), with numerous useful block styles included. Don't theme yourself into a corner.
