What we were told is true, never had much basis in fact — a fact now increasingly clear as hype gives way to reality. “Brilliant” Presidential historian Michael Beschloss, on no evidence, once proclaimed Obama “probably the smartest guy ever to become president.” When he thus summed up liberal consensus, was he perhaps referring to academic achievement? Not eight years: Time’s up for Obama. President Obama is horrible at governing. He’s not bad, though, at moving goalposts. The stimulus was supposed to “save or create” a bazillion jobs. When the jobs on the “create” side of the ledger were smaller than predicted, the administration did away with the term and started using jobs “funded.” That, of course, includes numerous pre-existing jobs (including part-time ones) at every company or government entity that received stimulus money.

In the debt ceiling debate this past summer, the White House initially agreed to a target of $800 billion in new revenue. Now the President who gave himself one term to fix the economy is asking for another four years to complete the job. “After all that is happening in Washington, it may be tempting to believe that change may not be as possible as we thought,” Obama told donors last week. Hoyer: Dems can retake House despite Frank, other Dem retirements

Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), said on Tuesday he does not expect a wave of party elders to follow Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) out the door ahead of the 2012 elections. Frank on Monday became the 17th House Democrat to forego a reelection bid, but Hoyer sought to tamp down concerns that a large-scale exodus would hinder Democratic hopes to retake the House. Weiner's game ball - Ben Smith. March 22, 2010 If you kept C-SPAN on after the health care vote closed in the House Sunday night and the cable networks turned their attention to the White House, you would have seen New York Rep.

Weiner's game ball - Ben Smith

Anthony Weiner, talking extremely fast through the evening's uncontroversial business, like a resolution honoring the 65th Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. Weiner, a native of Brooklyn, can talk very fast, and it's a talent that has given him the honor before, when Democrats are eager to wrap up a long evening.

Obama. After Lying About His Wealth on National TV, Michael Moore Admits He's A One Percenter. On Wednesday NewsBusters exposed Occupy Wall Street supporter Michael Moore for lying on national television about his wealth. Clearly feeling the pressure to come clean, the schlockumentary filmmaker took to his blog Thursday to set the record straight - kind of: Twenty-two years ago this coming Tuesday, I stood with a group of factory workers, students and the unemployed in the middle of the downtown of my birthplace, Flint, Michigan, to announce that the Hollywood studio, Warner Bros., had purchased the world rights to distribute my first movie, 'Roger & Me.' A reporter asked me, "How much did you sell it for?

" "Three million dollars! " I proudly exclaimed. Moore went on to explain what he did with his jackpot: 1. 2. 3. 4. It really is something when a man lies to cover up his lies. Seconds after claiming, "What [Cain] does not have the right is to rewrite history by saying that blacks were brainwashed by becoming Democrats," Sharpton showed his ignorance of the subject by stating, "We went with a Party that stood up for the Civil Rights Act of '64 and Voting Rights Act of '65" (video follows with transcript and commentary): Barack Obama and the *second* YouTube election. First off, let’s peruse this video very quickly: via Hot Air, it shows Senator Barack Obama claiming that it was ‘unpatriotic’ for President George Bush to oversee an increase in the debt of four trillion dollars over eight years… …because apparently it’s much more patriotic to increase the debt by four trillion in two years, seven months.

Which is how much Barack Obama has used… what was the phrase? How Harry Reid caused the debt-ceiling debacle. Ezra Klein reckons I’m wrong about the tactical failures among Democrats which led to the current debt-ceiling fiasco and the probable loss of America’s long-prized triple-A credit rating.
