SWFAddress 1.0: Deep Linking for Flash. Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006 <p>Michael Klishin has released SWFAddress 1.0, a new open source JS library (and set of simple techniques) that targets Flash/Ajax SEO and deeplinking problem. SWFAddress uses URL rewrite at client and server-side to redirect from “plain” URL to anchored URL that SWFAddress understands and acts accordingly to what developer implemented. Thus one can use links to SWF movie sections (or Ajax application states) that Google bot can understand but when http client is a web browser rewriting comes to the rescue and link is substituted with what Flex/Flash/Ajax application turns into application state.

Usage. Mario Klingemann&#039;s Flash Blog: Flash 8: Kaleidoscope. Flash 8: Kaleidoscope Just a little kaleidoscope eyecandy using beginBitmapFill() and the allmighty draw() command. I like the speed of it and also the looks if you zoom down to the pixel level. The image used is "Autumn Leaves" by J.H. Lynch. There are quite a few keyboard commands (if there is no reaction you will have to click the flash file once in order to activate the keyboard focus): [1] - start/stop rotation 1 [2] - start/stop rotation 2 [3] - start/stop rotation 3 [4] - toggle flip tiles [+]/[-] - more/less tiles [q]/[w] - rotation 1 speed [a]/[s] - rotation 2 speed [y]/[x] - rotation 3 speed [e] - reset rotation 1 speed [d] - reset rotation 2 speed [c] - reset rotation 3 speed [UP]/[DOWN] - zoom in/out [m]/[n] - spiral offset [0] - reset spiral offset [5]/[6] - shearing 1 [7]/[8] - shearing 2 Download source file Ultrasweet!!!

Papervision3D. Kevin Lynch: Flash is your friend in Web 2.0. I recently presented a " high order bit " at the Web 2.0 conference about how Flash and HTML work together and made some announcements about building Flash applications in a way developers can relate to more easily. Tim O'Reilly wrote a great overview of what he means by Web 2.0 , which are essentially design patterns and business models for the next generation of software. The shorter term results are things like easier sharing of photos with your friends and family, finding the most interesting things to read, and getting new insights on information by combining data like rental listings with their locations on a map.

Longer term, this "architecture of participation" could mean harnessing collective intelligence across the Internet to solve increasingly difficult problems around the world, as also envisioned by Doug Engelbart . There is clearly a resurgence in how HTML can be used to deliver application user interfaces and terrific progress has been made on that. Ultrashock.com.
