Charmed Wrist Warmers. As I've said before, The Animator's Wife has certainly been busy while I've been hiding in the bedroom.

Charmed Wrist Warmers

Every time I come out, there is more yarn and more FOs! Right now the living room is covered with random lengths of yarn and boxes for one of her biggest projects ever, which I will keep to myself until she announces it formally. But I will give you a clue: it involves a shop. I think I'm done hiding in the bedroom though. I've discovered that The Terror is more goofy than terrifying, and he doesn't bother me anymore since Osiris let him know who's boss.

Anyway, as I promised before Christmas, here is one of the patterns The Animator's Wife was working on during my hibernation. Make 2. Finished Size: One size fits all. Skill Level: Easy. In my recent drive to crochet I decided it was time to actually pay attention to what I was doing and write it down so that I might post my first ever Bethany Sew-&-Sew created crochet pattern!

Bethany Sew-and-Sew: Bethany's Fingerless Mittens

This is for fingerless mittens or "arm-warmers" if you prefer. I got this idea from a different pattern but it was too detailed for simple ol' me and I pretty much only work with Red Heart Super Saver yarn (worsted Medium 4--ya know, the stuff you can get cheap just about anywhere). In this case I chose a dark pink. I used a size J crochet hook. This pattern is an easy pattern using only a few basic stitches and is designed to fit an average woman's hand/arm. So here's my pattern: Bethany's Fingerless Mittens Feel free to use it as you like but please give credit to www.bethanysewandsew.com if you link it or mention it elsewhere on the Internet!

The Thumb-hole Attach yarn to base of thumb-hole opening. Basic Fingerless Gloves  As many of you know, I’m really into creating basic patterns that are easy to make.

Basic Fingerless Gloves

With that in mind, I set out to create some crocheted fingerless gloves. I love to work in the round, without joining or seams if possible. So here is my basic and very simple crocheted fingerless glove project. After making this basic crocheted pair of fingerless gloves, I decided that I would try adding a bit of a thumb to it. Below is the pair of gloves that I crocheted with the optional thumb. The second pair of gloves were crocheted just a bit smaller by only doing 40 rows of ribbing and 40 stitches along the edge for the body of the glove.

Each pair of gloves use just one skein of yarn and do work up very quickly. *************************************************************************************************************************************** Basic Fingerless Glove Crochet Pattern Yarn: Red Heart – Heart & Sole Yarn, Super Fine, Toasted Almond, 1.76 oz (50 g) Row 2-42 Ch 1, turn.
