GET IT I like it when classic characters are redesigned frequently to fit the styles of specific projects, like the new Mickey Mouse shorts, or the various Mario RPG series, or virtually every Zelda game. With the new Sonic, I assume the redesign was done with certain things on the agenda: -Make Sonic to look a bit older and taller -Give him a slimmer profile so his arm poses wouldn’t overlap his body as frequently (presumably for pose clarity, and to negate the need to make his arms a different colour) -Up the clothing quantity a little and try to make it reflect the character’s personalities -Cover absolutely everything in tape.
With my take, I tried to stay true to that, and just tweaked some stuff. The athletic tape still isn’t really being used the way a real runner would, but I tried to push it a little closer in that direction and make it look like it’s at least possible that it was put there to hold his cleats on. The idea is that all women of all backgrounds around the world are subjected to sexualized violence, so we can all come together with common needs.Last year on the 14th, Ensler decided that One Billion Rising, Canada was going to spotlight Indigenous women.
What she failed to recognize and acknowledge in her spotlighting efforts was that February 14th is already an important day on the calendar for Indigenous women across the country, and has been so for decades. This year will mark the 23rd annual Women’s Memorial March, which originated in Downtown Eastside in Vancouver and has since spread across the country. The Rogue Scholars Society.
