This intertidal region is home to thousands of species that are specifically adapted to the movements of the tide. What makes tides special? It forces organisms to live a portion of the day out of the water and the other part below the surface or in the difficult time when waves are crashing against the area. The crashing wave action slowly erodes the coastline leaving sea stacks such as the one you see here near Boardman Beach. Below the surface, there are mollusks and cnidarians anchored to the rocks surviving the rough days in heavy surf and tides.

I’m perfectly willing to eat in any greasy spoon they offer me, but I am rarely surprised or pleased with the food. Thai Home, in Sandy, Oregon, however, was a delightful exception to the rule. 'Made in Oregon' sign compromise reached

<a href =" >Do you like the redesigned Made in Oregon sign? </a><br /><span style="font-size:9px;"> (<a href =" surveys</a>)</span> Say goodbye to the great sign debate of 2009. Some might say good riddance. Whatever your stance, the "Made in Oregon" sign controversy has provided entertaining -- while generally harmless -- political theater as Portland City Hall is consumed with budget cuts, potential layoffs, costly bureau consolidations and Major League Soccer subsidies. The iconic sign that graces the White Stag Building will read "Oregon" rather than "University of Oregon," a compromise announced Wednesday between the school and Portland Commissioner Randy Leonard.

The words "Old Town" at the bottom of the sign will remain, though they'll go from red to green in deference to the Ducks, and "Portland" will be added next to them. Oregon_90. Community Alliance of Tenants. Opt In. The Recovery Act in Oregon Go Oregon! Oregon.gov Home Page.
