"One Good Thing" by Jillee: It's 4 minutes past my bedtime!

http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/2011/07/its-4-minutes-past-my-bedtime.html It is currently 1:04 a.m. as I type this. O.K., now it’s 1:05 a.m. I hurt my shoulder helping my sister move this past weekend and ended up having to go to the doc today for it. He kindly gave me medication that is currently giving me blessed relief! BUT, he did play the “doctors’ orders” card and told me I had to go to bed by 1:00 a.m.! Then I made the mistake of talking to my MOM about it and she issued the same order!

Not to forget about Earth Hour Saturday evening! Click here to vote earth by turning off your lights for one hour - earth hour! With earth love comes recycling and organization, and this week we lend you a helping hand - well, actually stickers, really - to help you organize your recycling materials. Since we are always confusing our own bins, we thought perhaps we weren’t alone in this department and fashioned these with the idea that they might help out. Download, print and stick them to the side/or top of your bins for easy reference.

image credit: shutterstock I hope my site can offer you some encouragement and humor as you set out on the journey of creating organized solutions and systems that work specifically for you and your family. In addition to saving you time, money and sanity, organizing can also be fun, it can be addictive and it is most definitely pleasing to God (1 Cor 14:40). All terrific reasons to organize our spaces and our lives. I truly believe organizing is a PROCESS not a destination. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on things it’s time to do it all over again.

Saving money can be as unappealing as going on a diet. Yes, the results will be fun, we think, but the process won’t. Just like in losing weight, we’re supposed to change our lifestyle. But what exactly does that mean? Don’t be daunted: I’m here to tell you that being frugal can be incredibly satisfying. I have been writing about the win-wins of cutting costs for over a year and a half and I could go on for another decade. http://getbuttonedup.com/2011/06/01/how-to-love-your-new-frugal-life/#

Track Your Finances

It’s Day #3 of my “11 in 2011 Challenge” — and this goal is one of my favorites! How many times have you been told to “Create a budget”? You know you SHOULD create a budget…but have you ever actually taken the time to make one? And even if you have a budget, do you use it and stick to it? If you answered “no” to either of those questions, chances are you either hate budgets , or you don’t know where to start…right? If you fall into the “hate budgets” category, there’s really not much I can do for you.
Is the line between order and chaos in your world an increasingly fine one? Do you need a cheat sheet? A crutch?
