Homemade Mango Ice Cream Recipe (No Ice Cream Maker!) Ice Cream Pie. When celebrating Australia Day in years past, I have gone a little over the top making all kinds of variations on classics like the lamington or the pavlova. It is one of my favourite occasions to dream up dessert ideas for. However, this year I’m keeping it nice, simple and summery. Just in case you couldn’t tell, I really love ice cream. For a change, I decided to make an Ice Cream Pie because I felt like it was a great dessert to top off a nice casual gathering with friends. I hope you’re enjoying plenty of those this summer season! I really wanted to use the amazing Aussie grown passionfruits that I bought at the markets in this recipe. Chocolate and passionfruit together are one of my all time favourite flavour combinations. In this recipe I’ve used my super easy no churn ice cream recipe that I know you’ll love. The no churn ice cream is fantastic because you don’t have to make a custard, or deal with leftover egg whites.

Mason Jar French Toast takes just 5 minutes to prepare in the microwave! It’s extremely easy. I might even go so far as to say it’s life changing. 5 Minute Mason Jar French Toast is made for days when you feel a little fancy. It’s for days when you wake up in the morning feeling rested, your hair is having a miraculously good hair day, your latte milk foams perfectly, and you want something a little special for breakfast. But not too special – because it’s still a work day after all. You could scramble some eggs, but you’d rather have something sweet – something normally reserved for the weekend: French Toast! Now you can eat French Toast any day! Each half-pint mason jar requires just 4 ingredients: 1 egg, a splash of milk, cinnamon, and 1 slice of bread cut into cubes.

(Trust me on the 30 second interval thing – you don’t want an explosion in your microwave! You’ll know the French Toast is nearly done when it starts to rise up out of the mason jar. Trust me – you’ve got to try this! 2 Minute Chocolate and Salted Caramel Mug Cake. Baked Champagne Pears with Oat Almond Crumble - Cooking for Keeps. These Baked Champagne Pears with Oat Almond Crumble are the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving menu! They’re super easy, so quick, and one of the tastiest desserts we’ve made all fall! When it comes to desserts in our household, we generally don’t stray too far from one of two categories – cookies, or pie. I’m just not really an ice cream person (unless it’s the topping on a pie or sandwiched between two cookies), there are only a handful of cakes I enjoy, and candy, honestly, just isn’t worth it to me.

There are some exceptions to the rule, like when I have a random craving for starbursts, or just have to have a slice of this easy buttermilk cake, but more times than not, when I get a hankering to whip up a homemade dessert it’s a chocolate chip cookie or some variation on a coconut cream pie. Today’s dessert however, seems to fall in a category on its own. The crumb topping, by the way, is SO good, and so simple. Baked Champagne Pears with Oat Almond Crumble. 31 Days Of Pie, Day 25: Grasshopper Pie. Day 25 of 31 Days of Pie is a Grasshopper Pie Ok, so maybe a mincemeat pie would be the quintessential Christmas Pie, but I had to veer off course with this, a happy and kitchy green Grasshopper Pie. To me it makes sense, and I hope it does to you too. It’s easy, it’s minty, and seems very appropriate. And however you’re celebrating today (us: a morning movie and then dinner with family), we wish you the merriest of holidays with plenty of love and comfort.

Recipe from All Recipes. Skinny Shamrock Shake. This easy Shamrock shake is only 5 ingredients and about half the calories of the McDonald’s version. Mr. K and I used to have a tradition of getting a Shamrock shake every year from McDonald’s during this time of year. Then one year, I decided to make it myself, and we’ve been doing that ever since.

A 12 oz Shamrock shake at McDonald’s is 530 calories and contains a lot of unnecessary ingredients in its Shamrock syrup. This 12 oz serving is about 264 calories (the calorie count will vary slightly depending on the ice cream brand and whipped topping brand) with only a handful of ingredients. You can make it even healthier if you reduce the ice cream and increase the milk, but we like our shakes on the thicker side. I love making my own because I can also customize and adjust to my own personal taste, such as color, thickness, sweetness, etc. I’ll definitely be consuming a few more before St. Print Recipe Ingredients: Directions: 1. Mini Oreo Cheesecake Recipe Author: Yummy Addiction Prep time: Cook time: Total time: Serves: 16 cheesecakes Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grapefruit brûlée with black pepper. I’m not a fan of the bitter flavour profile in food, but grapefruit is the one exception. I absolutely adore a juicy pink grapefruit and learnt in my teens how to enjoy it on its own, sans any sugar. I was no doubt dieting at the time. I have also discovered that a few grinds of black pepper adds wonderful flavour and gives the fruit a subtle nuance of heat – in a similar way to how it works so well with strawberries.

Life is all about making the everyday special, and adding black pepper and sugar to your grapefruit, and then melting it under a blowtorch until it caramelises to a golden crisp, takes the whole eating experience to another level. You could pre segment the fruit in each half after its been cut, but I kind of like digging it out with a serrated spoon. Make as many as you need, but here is the recipe for four grapefruit halves: 2 pink grapefruitsaprox 4 T light brown sugar (or white sugar)a few grinds of black pepper Like this: Like Loading...
