She authored of several popular books, including The Intention Experiment and The Field. According to her author profile, she has become a primary spokesperson on consciousness and the new physics. The Intention Experiment is a series of web-based experiments with Lynne McTaggart and leading scientists around the world to test the power of our thoughts to change the physical world. In her book The Field, McTaggart asserts that the universe is unified by an interactive field, based on apparent misunderstandings of physics. The book has been translated into fourteen languages. In a later book, The Intention Experiment, she discusses research in the field of human consciousness which she says supports the theory that "the universe is connected by a vast quantum energy field" and can be influenced by thought.

The book is also an exciting, compelling read, a scientific detective story. Jungian Archetypes. Scientists have discovered only fairly recently that of all our mental activity, only about 5% of it happens in the conscious mind. That means that a whopping 95% of our mental activity takes place in the unconscious mind.

The unconscious mind comprises mental processes that are inaccessible to consciousness but that influence judgements, feelings, or behavior. According to Freud (1915), the unconscious mind is the primary source of human behavior. Like an iceberg, the most significant part of the mind is the part you cannot see. But this is very real electrical energy that can get blocked behind dams or walls in the unconscious, usually caused by negativity such as pain, fear, trauma, or other kinds of stress. Medications can sometimes move these blockages around but they may treat symptoms rather than the causes of illness.

The new biology of epigenetics is the study of cellular consciousness and the biochemical mechanisms of emotions that switch genes on and off. Donald Hoffman. According to cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman, our brains are showing us a "hacked" version of reality. His revolutionary new way of thinking about consciousness combines the study of evolution with insights into brain activity in an attempt to solve the mysteries behind how we perceive the world. Challenging leading scientific theories that claim that our senses report back objective reality, Hoffman argues that while we should take our perceptions seriously, we should not take them literally. The world we see is not objective reality and our senses are not communicating the truth.

Just like a file icon on a desktop screen is a useful symbol rather than a genuine representation of what a computer file looks like, the objects we see every day are merely icons, allowing us to navigate the world safely and with ease. In his book, The Case Against Reality, Hoffman dares us to question everything we thought we knew about the world we see. . - Donald Hoffman. Theseer.
