60 Second Chocolate Chip Cookie A la Mode. I had so much fun developing this recipe. Talk about kinda dangerous though. This baby is baked in 60 seconds, no lie!! The cookie dough recipe is prepared right in your ramekin, so we are also talking about minimal dishes. Win win, right? You know those fabulous pizzookie’s you order at certain restaurants? In any case, Enjoy my friends!! Start by creaming your butter and sugars right in your ramekin.

Just like so, light and fluffy. You’ll add a couple tablespoons of beaten egg next. A splash of vanilla please. Give another good stir of the spoon until combined. Once combined, add your dry ingredients right to the ramekin. Flour, salt and baking soda all set! Give a few stirs then…. Recipe Round-Up: Popsicle Ideas! With the sweltering heat we've been having so far this summer in Ontario, I've been wishing more every day that I had a pool in my backyard to cool off in.

Recipe Round-Up: Popsicle Ideas!

But since I'm not that lucky, a more affordable way for me to beat the heat is by making my own popsicles! I finally bought my first popsicle mold at the start of the summer and I've already made good use of my purchase, having made five different kinds of popsicles for myself so far. I usually make small batches of 2-4 popsicles of each flavour, so that I can even have two different types of popsicles in my freezer at the same time. Some of the flavours I've tried have been really simple and don't really require a "recipe", so I thought that instead of doing separate blog posts for each one, I'd combine them all into one post with ideas for five different kinds of popsicles you can easily make yourself at home if you have a mold. 1. 2.

Next up was these cantaloupe-mint popsicles. Cantaloupe-Mint Popsicles 2 cups chopped cantaloupe 3. Peach Tomato and Mozzarella Crostini. Working in a busy restaurant is sort of like going on a diet.

It’s strange. You top plates with special food… food that you’ve made partially out of nightly work routine, and partially out of deep care and love. Food is hustled out to tables and enjoy amongst conversation, wine, and candle light… and then on to the next order, and the next order, and the next order, and the order after that. Strangely… you rarely get to eat the food you make night after night. You rarely get to eat anything at all during a frenzied service. I worked in a restaurant that served the most beautiful fresh peach and summer tomato salad with a giant ball of mozzarella and a generous drizzle of balsamic vinegar. No-Bake, {Gluten-Free} Energy Balls. These balls are fabulous for kids, gluten free + healthy!

They will definitely add an extra kick to your day! They are packed full of energy-filled goodness {and then some other goodness that might not give you energy, but will definitely taste delicious}. Gather all of the ingredients. In a large bowl mix together: 1 cup of gluten free oats, 1 cup of toasted coconut flakes, 1/2 cup of vegan chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of ground flax seed, 1/2 cup of peanut butter and 1/3 cup of honey. Mix until all of the ingredients are blended well. Refrigerate batter for at least a 1/2 hour. Best served chilled. Happy No-Baking!! Xoxo, Ali. Salt & Lime Tortilla Chips with Strawberry Avocado Salsa : Peas and Thank You.

Salt & Lime Tortilla Chips with Strawberry Avocado Salsa I’ve got bad habits. So do you. But this is about me, as things almost always are. See, there’s one bad habit. Here’s a few more: I stack the recycling on the bench in the garage until cereal boxes, empty bean tins and maple syrup jugs are toppling over onto the floor rather than taking them out to the recycling can on the side of the house.

I flip over the towels in the guest bathroom instead of washing them. Sometimes, and it pains me to admit this, I use tissue in the bathroom rather than taking the last few squares off the toilet paper roll. None of those habits seem that bad, though, because they are born of sheer laziness. Truly bad habits are born of selfishness. I’ve got those too. Like when I go to Chipotle, get a “family” bag of chips for the group, dump them all out, inspect them like a forensic scientist, choose the five or six chips with the most deliciously limey salt on them and then put the rest back for everyone else.

Coffee, Coconut & Cherry Energy Bites. Sorry for the lack of posts this past week - I've been keeping pretty busy here in Singapore so this is my first chance to sit down and try to catch up on things!

Coffee, Coconut & Cherry Energy Bites

The day before I left for this trip, I wanted to make some kind of snack that I could bring with me for "emergency snacks" to keep on hand.
