That bar assembly has three small fingers that lay back flat during the printing cycle. When the printer is finished its printing cycle, the paper is just starting to exit under the Print Cartridge Holder Assembly, but is actually laying on the Paper Guide Assembly and Roller Assembly. That paper pusher assy, then stands up and the three fingers basically push the paper onto the Paper Exit Tray/Area.
