How can He help you? God is real, and when you trust in Him, He promises to be with you always. The Bible says in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Let Him share your burdens and reveal His purpose for you. Turn to Him today. Read the 4 Steps to Peace below Step 1 – God loves you and has a plan for you!

The Bible says, “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”—a complete life full of purpose (John 10:10). But here’s the problem: Step 2 – Man is sinful and separated from God. We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls “sin.” The result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God (Romans 6:23). The good news? Step 3 – God sent His Son to die for your sins! But it didn’t end with His death on the cross. “Dear Lord Jesus, How to Deal with Difficult People Mindfully, Part 2. By Charles Francis Most of us find it challenging dealing with difficult people in a healthy manner.

Our most common reactions are to either become defensive, or go on the offensive. However, these reactions seldom make the situations any better. In fact, the usually make things worse. In last week’s post, we learned that we have some valuable tools that can diffuse many of these volatile interactions and help cultivate some understanding and healing. We talked about how deep listening can send the clear message to another person that we have no intentions of harming them. For most of my life, I never paid much attention to the effect my words had on other people in my interactions with them. My first big lesson in mindful speech came at a retreat. During those 4 days, I could communicate by writing on a notepad.

It soon became clear that I used my speech for things other than communication. What I learned about myself was that my intentions were not as noble as I thought. Made for Freedom is a life changing business based on ethical and moral standards. Made for Freedom works with women and girl centers who have been exploited and marginalized to provide them with skills and wages in order to rebuild their lives. At these centers, they learn that they have value, they are capable, they are loved, and healing is possible. These partners empower women not only to make the products they sell but to learn how a business works and to use their skills to help others. I can’t tell you how much this pulls at my heartstrings. When I was younger I was subjected to sexual abuse myself; I have vowed when I was older to help other’s who have been in that situation to know that there is hope.

I had spoken with Jennifer from Made for Freedom and I can see she truly loves what this company is about and what they do. Lynch Delivers Remarks at Community Policing Forum. Thank you, U.S. Attorney [Deirdre] Daly, for that kind introduction and for your exceptional service to the people of Connecticut. I’d like to recognize Chief of Police [Brent] Larrabee for his leadership of the East Haven Police Department and for giving me such a warm welcome today. And I’d like to thank everyone who worked to make this important event possible. It’s an honor to join so many law enforcement officers, faith leaders, student representatives and community officials as we come together to discuss the important work underway here in East Haven and across the country to build relationships of trust between law enforcement officers and the communities we serve.

This is vital work, because our public safety depends on the bonds that police share with the residents they protect. I want you to know that I am committed to doing my part. The Five Best Tools for Creating Videos Without Installing Software. Over the years I've published some lists and reviews of free tools for creating videos online. Quite a few of those tools have been for creating simple videos that are really just automated, audio slideshows. See Animoto for an example of this. There's nothing inherently wrong with having your students use those tools, but at some point you will want to take your video projects to the next level.

These are the five tools that I recommend for creating and editing videos without installing any special software. Pixorial is the online video creation tool that I hear teachers talking about a lot lately. The thing that I like the most about Pixorial is that the video creation and editing tools are laid out in an intuitive user interface. Most users will never find themselves wondering what any of the editing tools do or what to click on next. WeVideo is a collaborative online video creation tool. PowToon is a nice service for creating explanatory videos through a drag and drop process.
