Culture of coffee. Starting university in a pandemic. Chapter 3. Starting university in a Pandemic. Chapter 2. Starting university in a pandemic. Chapter 1. A rant about hustle culture. Work.
Work. Work. Non. Stop. When does anyone have time to take a breather lately? Here's the thing about life… As children we are expected to learn words, sentences, languages, numbers, etiquette etc. But what’s all of this for? We retire when we’re 60 and then what? Why is the system built in such a way that we have no option but to be forced into this hustle culture. Work hard. But let’s talk about success. Success can mean different things to different people. Okay yeah. People say all the time that it's normal to be tired, it's normal to be stressed out, it's normal to have a thousand worries, because that's just how life is. It may take a while, but I think we need to take a step back and look at this from the bigger perspective. And on that note, here's an interesting video to watch on hustle culture mentality if you're interested: Advice worth hearing before starting a student initiative.
During high school I immersed myself in creating/attending various events, campaigns, conferences and while the journey improved my confidence, leadership, public speaking skills and so on it also provided me with a lot of lessons.

Why is this simple sentence so hard to say for some people? Throughout my interactions with several of my friends and family members on the topic of feminism, I noticed a sort of pattern with the responses I got from them. Nearly all of them completely agreed with the basic ideas of equality that I presented in my arguments, yet when asked “So would you call yourself a feminist?” , nearly all of them replied with “No”. “I believe in equality, but not in feminism” they would say. But feminism literally means equality. Despite my textbook definition of feminism, several of them had legitimate reasons for refusing to call themselves feminists.
Let's start with the infamous “If feminism means equality for all genders, then why does the label itself only address females”. By using alternative terms such as ‘equalist’ instead of ‘feminist’, I feel as though it neglects the years of endured patriarchy and suffering that women have been through all these years.
