Things like Botox, hand creams, and hair dye exist to prolong the appearance of youth - but what if it could actually be achieved at the cellular level?

Anti-aging formula slated to begin human trials

A collaboration of researchers from the United States and Australia might have done just that. A regular metabolic compound that has been administered to mice has been shown to not just boost muscle function, but actually reverse the affects of aging. The research was led by David Sinclair of the University of New South Wales and the results have been published in the journal Cell. Memory implantation is now officially real.

In this study, the mouse is now afraid of an environment in which it never received pain, and would therefore not associate pain with it.

Memory implantation is now officially real

By artificially activating the neurons associated with the pain-free environment in a new context with a foot shock, a fear response is now elicited the original context where no shock or pain occurred. The experiment takes advantage of associations, but uses optogenetic activation to make the mouse remember shock where shock never occurred (false memory). But the environment could be similar enough that it thinks it may be get a shock anyways. umm, yeah, but the mouse still recieved pain from simply thinking of or remembering the environment.

Imagine it this way. Brain-to-brain interfaces have arrived, and they are absolutely mindblowing. I am almost speechless at this!

Brain-to-brain interfaces have arrived, and they are absolutely mindblowing

This is astounding! This is truly astounding! If it can be scaled up to the human level, if it can be done without what is sure to be hugely invasive brain surgery, this might revolutionize everything in ways we barely guess at. The Heart of the Matter – 3D Printing the Human Cardiovascular System. As ambitious project aimed at replacing human organs is underway all around the world, scientists at the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute in Kentucky are working on designs for a 3D printer capable of recreating that most poetic of parts, the human heart.

The Heart of the Matter – 3D Printing the Human Cardiovascular System

Dr. Stuart Williams, Scientific Director of the project in Louisville, Ky., says his team is already well down the road to developing custom-built 3D printers capable of printing an entire human heart – right down to heart muscle, vessels, valves and tissues, and he says the organ will be "grown" and printed from fat stem cells taken directly from a patient's own body. "We're building next-generation printers to build the heart from the bottom up," said Williams.

The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics. So far, two of the babies have been tested and have been found to contain genes from three 'parents'. Fifteen of the children were born in the past three years as a result of one experimental programme at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science of St Barnabas in New Jersey. The babies were born to women who had problems conceiving. A Man Claims to Have Not Eaten or Drank Any Liquids For 70 Years. Science Examines Him. "Farm 432 enables people to turn against the dysfunctional system of current meat production by growing their own protein source," said Unger. As part of the project, she bred and ate black soldier fly larvae in a prototype system, then designed a machine to replicate the process on a domestic scale. "I ordered larvae and built up my own fly colony to see if the process works," she told Dezeen. Vegan Vitamin B12 Deficiency is a Myth. Some things you should know about your hands. Dieta bezglutenowa. End of Eating Food. Eating food could be replaced by nanorobot nutrient delivery system. By early 2030s, experts predict nanorobots will be developed to improve the human digestive system, and by 2040, as radical as this sounds, we could eliminate our need for food and eating. This is the vision of futurist Ray Kurzweil and nutritionist Terry Grossman, M.D., in their popular book, Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough to Live Forever.

In the coming decades, the authors claim, “We will be able to reengineer the way we provide nutrients to our trillions of cells.” Current method of extracting nutrients from food is not working very well. Nearly two thirds of Americans are overweight and it has become extremely difficult for most people to achieve proper nutrition as we trek through our 21st century maze of confusing health options. 16 Reasons To Have Daily Sex.
