A Chic, Unique and Oh So Creative Rainbow Wedding {Part 2} Hello lovely readers, Did you see Part 1 of this stunning wedding yesterday? It was an amazing extravaganza of colourful bridesmaids and bouquets, stylish groomsmen and Kami’s gorgeous lace dress and blue suede shoes combo. Now it’s time for Part 2: The Ceremony and Reception. Prepare to be inspired by all the creative, special touches, the beautiful florals and the amazing photography which captures the love and fun of Kami and Ryan’s wedding day. The Wedding Music: We had a lady play on the piano for our ceremony. The Photographer: Our photographer Laura Murray not only takes the most beautiful wedding photos, but helped coordinate a schedule for the day. Entertainment: During the reception we had a photo/prop booth, a couple’s video (which included photos of the both of us with all of our friends and family), a rainbow candy bar, wine, beer and a signature “bad bunny” cocktail, appetizers, dinner, cake and lots of dancing!

There are almost 7000 pages dedicated to the sale of art. Collages, drawings, illustration, photography, prints, sculptures, fiber art, mixed media and paintings; the art category is (and has been for a long time) in the top five categories of items listed and sold on the website. Not all of it is good, even less of it is great but as you sift through the pages you will discover that somewhere between the good, the bad and the ugly lies a truly unique and wonderfully executed piece of art. What defines the wonderful is up to you and if you can’t be bothered looking through the thousands and thousands of entries, then let someone else do it for you. Hi everyone, I’m fairly certain everyone knows but just in case … The huge news for Moments That Shine? We’re closing up shop for a while as we relocate from Toronto to Vancouver! It’s a huge and scary step but it’s a family decision that I’m bursting with pride over. Being a BC girl, this is a dream come true. I leave an incredibly long list of friends because of my venture here. And this isn’t the end of the road!

Bride Steph borrowed her parents’ dining room hutch to serve as altar decoration, and it helped to make the big day that much more personal! Sweet Heirloom Photography did an amazing job of taking in all of the special touches put together by the couple and their friends and family — see them all in the gallery. From the bride, Steph: The photobooth backdrop was made from a load of fabric scraps and a lot of spare time (watched a good portion of Mad Men Season 1 and 2 while making those bunting flags).
The hutch for the ceremony altar lived in my parents’ dining room over the past several years… It was kind of neat being married in front of something I grew up with. Dessert Table: I LOVE cookies. 98% of the cookies I baked and froze beforehand. It took 6 days to put together all the pieces on site, 1 year to collect and make odds and ends, 12 truckloads to drop everything off, and 2.5 hours to take everything down. wow.
