Quit Building Mobile Apps NOW! …unless they include these three things: 1. an inherent mechanism for user growth 2. an inherent mechanism for user retention 3. measurement and analytics So often I meet promising young entrepreneurs who are building equally promising mobile applications that are missing all three components.

Quit Building Mobile Apps NOW!

When I press them on why they are NOT including these traits they explain that they PLAN to include them sometime in the future. User Growth: There are scores of mobile applications on the market that are well designed and very useful – the problem is that you’ll never hear about them. You should consider designing your app in a way that it becomes more useful when your user gets his friends to use the app as well. My advice to mobile developers is simple: do not start building your application UNTIL you have a well thought out mechanism specifically designed to drive user growth. User Retention: Getting users is actually EASIER than keep users engaged in your app.

Barcode Yourself by Scott Blake

Enter an individual's gender, weight, height, age and location, and the barcode is formed using real-world data. The individualized barcode can then be printed, mapped, scanned, even depicted on a t-shirt or coffee mug. Uber-geeks can even test out their barcodes on their next grocery run. It is in scanning a barcode that the project reveals its humor, like a banner that reads: Disclaimer! Human beings are not merely worth somewhere between one cent and 10 dollars. It is here, within the confines of an American obsession with "worth," in which the fun begins. The data entered into Barcode Yourself takes a topsy-turvy twist to its personalized end numbers, with the exception of the hard-data that correlates with "location," which tallies up in the Gross Domestic Product of each country.

"Straight out of the camera, I've got this ordinary digital capture without enough tonal contrast in my model, flat and dull colors, and overall no "wow" factor. The image just doesn't pop. I can't post it as is, it needs to be post-processed…" If I had a nickel for every time I'd said or read something like that. In this webinar, I show you how systematically "balance" images to create stronger, more professional-looking fashion images. The purpose of "balancing" is to get the image to look the way it should have been captured … if your camera could read your mind. The workflow will start with RAW adjustments after import and how these affect your final product.

In Photoshop we then examine various balancing tools to then extract the most that each image has to offer. While slightly outside of "Balancing" (but not falling within the stylistic effects of Analog Retouching) we will look at color grading and how to create the color tones consistent within my non B&W images. The Definitive Guide to Enlightening Information. The First Few Minutes After Death.

A three-year study will explore the nature of death and consciousness Dr. Sam Parnia: "When you study mind and brain, you see that, although in many circumstances this practical model we have developed -- mind and brain are the same thing -- is fine, when you go to an extreme environment like during a cardiac arrest…they don't seem to apply anymore," says Parnia. "It may suggest that there's something that hasn't been discovered scientifically. " Studies by Parnia and other researchers show that between 10 and 20 percent of who are resuscitated from cardiac arrest had a near-death experience (NDE). During the time that people report the feeling of detachment from their physical body, or an out-of-body-experience, they report a perception of floating above their body, or floating near the ceiling in the room where the experience occurs. The initial phase of the study will outfit participating rooms with shelves placed high up on the wall.
