Tourist in Your Home Town

We have a cute guest blogger giving us a few tips on how to recreate that romantic spark by breaking out of your bubble and becoming a little adventurous while exploring your own home town. Before getting to her creative tips let’s get to know her a bit… Cara Woodford is a busy woman: when she’s not working towards her Master’s degree in Urban Development, she loves to play soccer, garden and bake devilishly delicious goodies.

She has been married to her best friend, Michael since 2010 and thanks God every day that he is a part of her life. Remember the first time you and your husband took a long weekend together? 1) Just like you did during your actual honeymoon, research and consult travel sites to find adventurous activities within your area. 2) Try a cuisine you’ve never tried before. 3) What do you do when you travel? 4) Embrace the different and the playful side of your relationship. SuperZiper. Diy wenesdays: matchbook notepads. For years now we’ve been making little notepads out of vintage matchbooks we find at local flea markets. they’re endlessly useful for jotting down notes, numbers, and various “to do’s”. for this project we created a custom set to keep track of books, movies, and music we want to check out, but the best thing about these is you can make them in all shapes and sizes for whatever your needs may be. we also used our new favorite toy (a custom stamp set from the office supply store) to make a fun set of calling cards that we can tear out and give to new friends. have fun!

Le Love

Dear LeLove, Let me just start off by saying I absolutely adore your blog and look forward to new posts and updates when I'm sitting at my desk at work with nothing to do. ( and luckily its one of the sites I actually have access to.) I know a lot of the posts are dealing with boyfriend/girlfriend romantic love and relationships. As much as I enjoy reading the cute, sad, touching, amazing stories about this type of love, I think an extremely special form of love has been left out. The love I am referring to is the love you have for a best friend. Someone once told me they thought it was creepy how my best friends and I said “I love you” to each other often.
